McGrandles signs

Fits the mould of ball playing midfielder. Tenacious, six foot and likes a tackle although he is of slight build. I think he and Jones will be our first choice centre midfielders. He played well at our place recently. 170 appearances and still only 24. A surprise we have him on a free particularly with reported interest from other clubs. Good business again from the imps. Very happy with this.

We are always optimistic when a new player signs and this is another example of the current recruitment plan. Conor McGrandles is a young player with plenty of playing experience and the prospect of many good years ahead of him. It is pleasing to see players stating that the opportunity to play under the guidance of Michael Appleton is a key factor in joining the Imps.

A twitter rumour comes off, who knew?
Welcome Connor!
Does this we're still the lad from FGR Theo Archibald?

From what I can find of McGrandles - opinion seems to be he’s a good league 1 player. At 24 and some Appleton training he’ll develop and will undoubtedly take us closer to our targets.

I do love a nippy hard working tackler in midfield so looking forward to seeing him.

His twitter status says he is 6'4" full of muscle.
Whether this is tongue in cheek I have no idea.
Having seen his interview.... you may be disappointed or lockdown has hit him hard.

Appleton says AM. I was expecting a defensive midfielder from what I read. Looks like more stalking for me!!

Norwich spent a million on him 2014 and played him just once, Norwich's signing policy appears a bit more scattergun than I thought, signing lots of promising youngsters in the hope some kick on and work out, similar to their approach with Raggett.

Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six-foot-four and full of muscle
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said
I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover, yeah

I'm not sure tongue in cheek and those lyrics are a good fit.

Had to check the 6’ 4” or 6ft tall bit after thinking the lyrics had changed

Sounds like a very good signing going by the comments on the MK forums. Going to be some serious competition in the centre. Does this indicate departures of Payne and Bradley?
