Won't happen. He'll stay in Germany I reckon.

I think he's the most realistic 'big name' to arrive, so just for that reason I want him lol otherwise it's just going to be a defender that we've never heard of and possibly a young winger for £10m.

As long as he don't give Lewis Holtby a call and ask for an opinion.

Germany do have a bunch of youngsters coming through though. Meyer is just one of a bunch and none of them are attached to the big European clubs.

German youngsters are often quite well advised and tend to be advise to stay in Germany until they have reached a level that gets them a big move to a big club. Top talents don't often move to a 'stepping stone' club and we are still seen as just that around Europe.

Watching Max Meyer play against the England U21's at the moment. He looks a really intelligent schemer who constantly wants the ball. He looks exactly the type of player we should buy in a squad where we have no natural replacement for Eriksen. I can see why we're linked with him.

Matic - yeah, I can imagine the amount of 1st team games they get in the Bundesliga is much greater than our mob. They also have half their confederations squad that are 21-23 age range and have left their senior players on the beach.

For me better value for money and a better player than Barkley. This lad with the right coaching could have the world at his feet
