It’s only good news if they stay until 2023 and get us into the Prem and help keep us there . I may be cynical but I think they are giving these players long contracts with a view to selling them for big money in the summer . Why do I say that ? ........because that’s exactly what happened with James Maddison
Well it’s simply good footballing business - what else, let them have no contract and run down their deal or get peanuts for them? Yes in an ideal world they’ll stay and establish us in the Prem, but if not we’ve made sure to cover ourselves to get as much money as possible from PL. Just good sense from Webber and co

As Olly says its good business sense. The Norwich twitter account says 'Here until 2023' or whatever but we all know a long contract doesn't mean much. I think Cantwell's contract is up in Summer and I think there is a one year option but still why no new contract for him?
