Match thread - where is it.

First half got very scrappy.

Started well and should have had 2 or 3 shots on target but final ball has let us down again.

Figs started really well, shame he trod on the ball and picked up a booking for deliberately handling it on the ground.

Colback one stupid foul near their penalty area, but their player has since caught Colback twice, both likely yellow cards - ref has just given 2 free kicks. Lucky lad.

Lolley not really taking defenders on as he can, Ameobi not really on song, Grabban two half chances blocked. If we can step up a gear when we attack, we can win this.

This is a Sabri formation nd a Sabri performance, minus the goal conceded. To be honest, it seems to compensate for the no goal conceded we lost that bit of creativity ( tiny bit), that we had in the last game.
It's like Hughton is using this games a friendly after all he is still learning to know his squad.
On the players, quiet disappointment with Freeman, pretty much anonymous, same as Lolley ... Grabban is still on pre season form. Defence looks better ( apart fro that comic act by Figi, when he fell over nd started clutching his face ... lol ) ... Yates nd Colback covering well but dont expect defence splitting passes from them ... Ameobi...not innit and probably will be one of the first to be subbed.
As things stand I take a point ... if they nick a goal, I doubt we can claw a goal back...buf if it remains nil nil ....we might nick one...

Mistake ridden first half from both teams. Pretty awful viewing but we‘re looking solid at the very least. Colback and Freeman have been the two best players on the entire pitch. 7m for Brereton!! Christ, we certainly had their pants down there...

2 weeks prep i thought would be about scoring, i dont carre if we dont have a clean sheet all season personally , i want goals and thats the issue needed fixing for 6 months.

Passing terrible from both teams. We are playing longer ball, which Grabban will never win, but presumably hoping to pick up the second ball.
