Match thread. West Ham v Forest

At the end of the day with Jesus, and hopefully this will be the last i post on it, we've been a very, very stupid club to leave ourselves with only a striker who doesn't score alot.
Its just bad foresight and it needs sorting out quickly regardless of January being a nightmare when you need a player.

They let Kali go because they believe they will get someone in by Arsenal imho. I reckon a deal is already agreed . No one would be that negligent

I think Jesus is just a bit up and down and opinions get reinforced accordingly.
I thought he was very good against City - very strong - and has done well wtih goals in Europe (against inferior opposition) all while settling into a new club. It takes time to learn communication between the providers and finishers and they (collectively) obviously haven't done it to a sufficient level yet that it works every week in the league. I've also seen him win flick-on headers and get frustrated because there's no-one around him, leaving him very isolated. Not much you can do on your own against a pair of premier league central defenders.
I think he's got good potential and is worth persevering with. Certainly number one choice at striker while Chris Wood is out. It's just a shame that he has to do that while being the main man rather than enjoying a more gentle and less pressured process of getting up to speed.

I like him as a general player but as a lone striker when we don't have prolific, goalscoring wingers, it leaves the team quite unbalanced.

He is good in most of his matches, but even when he's good he leaves us short a goalscorer.

Without Kalimuendo, we don't really have one because I don't have much faith in Taiwo anymore, sadly. And Kali never did it for us.
In my mind there is some blame on MGW and Anderson for not joining the attack, especially when Luiz or Sangare are playing behind.

FIFY

At the end of the day with Jesus, and hopefully this will be the last i post on it, we've got a very, very stupid manager, who played T over Kali, making him frustrated thus leave ourselves with only a striker who doesn't score alot.

No that isn't fixed, its just been changed for the weirdest opinion ever.

Subjective for everyone though, rank order the same because based on same criteria

Bet if you looked at the same for last season we would be way lower down than our league position - that's because we had a very good striker

Relative to league position it suggests sunderland are like us last season, very clinical, fulham also more clinical than the xg suggests. For us it suggests both that we are not actually creating that much (almost bottom quartile for big chances) and we arent taking as many as we might expect when we do get them.

No. The obese one is many things but stupid he is not …there’s a plan. Maybe Wood is back earlier or Wilson has agreed a short term deal

Generally i agree but he did hire ange so definitely not stupid but fully capable of doing something stupid (running on the pitch anyone?)

Is this a serious post? Taiwo has largely been fully fit for the whole of last season and this season (like available for 85% of those games) and you want to try him upfront, having scored 2 goals in 2 years??

One against Exeter in the cup, one against 95th minute open goal v wolves away.

He can’t control the ball, has the first touch of a rapist, has zero game awareness, can barely run, and cannot pass or even kick it properly these days

I’d play every single member of our first team including the keepers upfront before Taiwo now, and I loved the bloke for the first season and a half

He is beyond hope and beyond shocking
How many starts in a row has he had? Or did Kali get?

As I said there is no guarantee either of them would have done anything but given they are our players and we are paying them…

Now we are in a situation where we now need to bring in someone else which will cost and also comes with no guarantees.

You haven’t proved anything on creating the chances you stat outside someone’s opinion on what a chance is and what a big chance is

I have asked you to provide clips, evidence to dispel the myriad of great chances we created this season and missed?

You tables someone’s else’s opinion on how they rate chances. It’s no more or less valid than anyone’s on here, but we all micro manage our teams games more than they do

So, unless I see all these clips I won’t be believing someone else’s data just because its dressed in a fancy table, and you choose to believe it

West ham for example. XG of 2 and we didn’t create one clear cut chance

Explain that data
Williams strike wasn’t clear? CHO hitting the bar? There’s two straight off…
