i often wonder if Matos isn't a build-up/play through the thirds type of manager
Those first 23 minutes before the water break we were brilliant, excellent pressing combined with forward thinking play.
The second 'quarter' if you like we haven't looked like a threat but we have complete control of possession and the game.
We've worked our way out of their press nicely a few times, but until we get some more creative players on the pitch I don't see us scoring any more

Decent half, Lissah and Widell stand-outs. Cullen took his goal well to be fair. Yeo had one nice run and just shot wide. Pressing is on point again, build up could be quicker through the thirds but with the personnel we have in the midfield - expected
It looked good from what I saw vs Bochum and from what I saw last season here and there. Just don’t think he has the profiles (yet

Only seen highlights really but does look like opoku and just look like they drift into those spaces well. Widell and Walta might be handy passing into those spaces as well

I think with Matos, it’s something that’s part of our game but isn’t the way he wants to control things. Having said that, I only caught the last 5 minutes of the half and we passed short from the back and took a lot more risks than I remembered us doing last season. We’ll see what happens once we bring in a few more players
At the moment we have a group full of high intensity runners who don't really have the technical ability if the chance hasn't come directly from a high turnover.
Opoku and Just have excellent pressing stats last year and hopefully have the quality on the ball when we're playing out

We've just looked so good at keeping the ball away from them, this is an established top flight team and we're making them look so poor.
