I hope not as I will be in Spain and if it is on Sky I will be compelled to watch it and I feel it would ruin my stay.

I live in Spain and I wish it was that easy :17:
 
I moved up to the north east and still can't leave it behind mind you I would love to get back in the prem as this hectic championship is a awful lot of travelling over a season I was glad we got knocked out the cups at the first hurdle.
 
Big big game for Bruce.

Needs to really think about releasing the players to express themselves. To get the shackles off and stop the pointless go nowhere passing from side to side. Get the pace up, press the ball in the right areas and encourage, infact no, TELL and demand that the players move forward with the ball with intent.

But doesnt it all feel so familiar with the inevitable managerial change around the corner?. I am not sure Bruce will come back from saturday or is that over dramatic at this stage?
 
If they had put all their great chances away wouldn't be thinking it was over dramatic Melon.
 
The analogy is that of a sick close relative, when it's bad we have to be bedside to nurture and wish them back to good health.

This match doesn't come at a good time I feel.

We don't have enough time to get that drubbing out of our system. There again, it could be an ideal time, if the players have got anything about them. All we need is a few shots on goal.....Lol


 
Certain players simply have to be dropped - Hutton , Lansbury, Gabby definitely .

So would I but even if Bruce did he would shackle them with his crap brand of football - he is an old dog.
 
My heart says that there's a chance, however small, that we'll come out fighting and pay them back for beating us at Villa Park in April.

My head says that it's more likely that Bacuna will score a hat-trick right now, and I'm worried about the physicality of the big lad who scored twice in our last meeting.

There's no way in the world that team should be getting humiliated by a Cardiff team full of players I've never heard of.

Bruce needs to get into them, give them a rocket up the arse and tell them in no uncertain terms that, a repeat of Saturday is simply not acceptable. It's got to be motivation right, there is ability in that side, I don't care what anyone says.

Alternatively, J how much to send them all to Kuala Lumpur, as I've been convinced for nearly a decade now that we as a club are cursed!

 
A professional football team tends to reflect the manager and his instructions on the pitch.

Makes you wonder how much respect do they actually have for Steve Bruce plus the coaching staff and the style of play being demanded because at the moment, they clearly aren't enjoying whatever is being asked of them as the results and lack of performance show.
 
The truth is that there are no outcomes for the players, they play poorly and the manager gets the sack. Bruce can't put a rocket up anyone's arse as it will be counter productive.

All the players know that Bruce is a dead man walking and all they have to do is show up on the pitch and they'll get paid regardless.

For me the Reading game will show us how much respect the players actually have for Bruce and his coaching staff. After that Dr X will have a tricky decision to take, either stick or twist. Neither is that appealing to me as I crave stability at the club and seriously question whether there are any "saviours" out there who can right the ship and get her sailing towards nirvana.

For me the players hold all the power and have hefty, long-term contracts in place in most cases. If we couldn't sack Gabby for his actions two seasons ago or McCormack last season, what hope is there that owners, CEO's, directors, managers and coaching staff can influence a players attitude.
 
If tommorow replicates the cardiff debacle Mr bruce won't be in charge on Saturday. To think we could be 8 points off automatic promotion with only 3 games played says it all .
 
This is certainly critical period for SB and he doesn't need anyone to tell him. He's gone for experience and it failed miserably at Cardiff. The first thing he has to do is drop Gabby and Hutton but I'm as bemused as Deano about all this. We have to get something at Reading or things will turn really nasty against Norwich if they stick one in. I'm not sure if at's all a crisis of confidence or after all this wheeling and dealing the players are no better than the previous incompetents.
 
Think Bruce has lost his nerve. The first thing after a drubbing is not to over-react. He put out more or less the same team against Hull and Cardiff, so he'd obviously decided that was the best approach at this precise moment. If he then changes it simply because of the loss then it means he's lost confidence, in his players, in his approach, or in himself, or all three. It's also liable to destroy what confidence the players have. What he should do is attempt to identify what went wrong and give the players the chance to put it right. Show a bit of confidence in them. He has to get them back on the field believing in themselves and what they can do. Anything else and we're doomed.

Don't know what hauling them back in for extra training on Sunday is meant to have done, except have them shattered before the Reading game.
 
Old school playing the disciplinarian shite. I believe that most of the players can pass a ball forward to a teammate. He should haul himself and the coaches in and write some letters.
