We need to be organised and disciplined to get anything out of today's game.

If we start like we did last week we'll be 3-0 down before we know it.

I expect they will score so we must, must, must create goalscoring opportunities and if we don't do that then it goes without saying we will get beat.

I think we all would see a draw as very good result today.

Come on City, provide a surprise. And I don’t mean start with Roughan and Maguire.
Surprise?? Think it will be more of a shock. Last time I checked 68% on the poll thought we would lose, with a total of 32% thinking we may get something out the game. However, I despite being the most pessimistic of fans, reckon we might actually steal a point.

If we play like we did second half last week and take our chances, it goes without saying Pompey will be in for a difficult afternoon.

I expect them to concede having shipped 3 last week.

Morning Imps, quietly confident that we'll build on last week's second half and give Pompey a nasty surprise.

Safe travels to those headed to Fratton Park today.

...... well there's got to be a lot of pressure on the Cowleys this season and if the results don't go their way early doors I expect the Pompey crowd will looking for them to go. Sorry Danny/Nicky no favours from us today. Imps 4ever

I think this fixture is too early for us this season to provide anything more then spirited opposition. We will do well to avoid a big defeat

Blessed is he who expects nothing!! A draw will feel like a win - The Pompey Imps Massive will be making all the noise....well, raising our voices a little!

Safe travels to those joining us this afternoon

Maybe but I always think it's better to play the bigger teams early doors, before they sign even more players and the ones they've just signed have time to gell. Works for both sides I expect but it makes me feel better.

true. But knowing the Bros as we all do they like to get their players in early. They look a good side this year. I think they will be top 6.

we are 3/4 players short of a good side

don’t get me wrong I would love an away victory but I am not expecting it.

A good test today, we're not particularly tall at the back and coming up against two aerially dominant forward players in Piggot and Bishop - then add Morrison and Raggett at CB on set pieces...

It feels like these were the games we brought O'Connor in for. If he's as aerially dominant and no-nonsense as the Bradford fans said he is, then these are the games he needs to be showing us he's just that.

Bishop for Boothe the only change IMO. We'll see if Vernam makes it back in the squad.
