Who Are The League One Managers? No.17: Ryan Lowe (Plymouth Argyle):

Although relatively inexperienced in terms of management, Liverpool-born Ryan Lowe has a good working knowledge of lower-division football after an eighteen-year playing career spent mainly in the north-west.

Plymouth were one of the first teams I ever saw us play against at home way back in September 1983 just after my 11th birthday.
We won 3 1 in front of just over 3000, with two goals from Ross Jack and one from the great Gordon Hobson.

You can't really see Posh losing that one, can you?
Mr Bayes thinks they'll be 4 points clear by 5pm and they're going to romp to the title now. Start of the month the season should be stopped and give Lincoln the title on ppg, funny how he's changed his mind now they're top...

Given we were lucky to get a win against Wigan and perhaps lucky not to lose against Swindon, I would take a draw here. But then again we have such such good away record you'd think we could snatch a win here.

Hopeful we’ll get a reaction after Tuesday and MA having a ‘talk’ to the team. Would be good to see a return to open flowing football from the Imps again 🤞

It's a bit left field based on how well we have done but I think it will be interesting if there are any tactical tweaks today based on Plymouth being a three at the back team with 2 strikers. I think the teams playing strikers/three at the back often make us more ragged at the back as it's much harder to play out 2 cbs v 2 strikers than it is if you have a spare man.

I notice Bielsa always changes from his 4 at the back to 3 at the back when he plays teams with two forwards (e.g. Southampton this week). It gives less control in midfield but makes it much easier to build from deep positions. That might just be McGrandles or someone coming deeper to pick up the ball regularly - but I wonder if we would ever consider Montsma/Jackson/Walsh. I don't think it has been regular they have all been fit at once but there could be some positives to it against teams who have more players further up the field to disrupt our build.

I wasn't able to watch the Swindon game but notice they were also that shape and one of our worst performances this year (Portsmouth home) was against a team that pressed us high with two out and out forwards...
