Two Sunderland Supporters Talk To Vital Lincoln City (Who Are Ya?):

"Promotion is my hope. My expectation is a difficult, heavy transition from the model that brought us to this level and the model we now want to implement to get away from it. I would be shocked if we aren't still in League One next season."

Excited for this one! I hope we put in a performance that shows what we can do and obviously get the result as well. Always gets noticed more against the likes of Sunderland.

One thing I did realise is that Montsma actually has the same amount of goals (5) as Sunderland top scorer Charlie Wyke.

Interested how Sunderland setup, sounds like Johnson likes to press. They do have a lot more experience and a massive budget in comparison to ourselves.

Personally though if we are on it, I can see us out running these.

We’ll at least get a decent length of highlights on Quest. Convinced length of highlights shown is relative to the ‘size’ of the club.
I'd be certain it is; they'll want to make sure their viewing figures are as high as possible, so will want to keep fans of the big clubs tuning in. There will be thousands watching for Sunderland's highlights. Accy, not so much.

Morning all. Tough game again but possibly one that suits us with the pace available in the team. Can't see Sunderland with a new manager sitting back and just coming for a point. Will allow us to counter attack with pace. An early goal would be very welcome

I hope nobody simply expects this to go as smoothly as it did against Shrewsbury reserves in midweek. We shouldn't fear Sunderland or have an inferiority complex either as the players have earnt the right for us to have confidence about today.

However Sunderland are still a well resourced club, in the top half of the division, with a new manager at the helm and it will take a good performance to emerge with one or three points.

It's important to rack up as many points as we can while we are in this rich vein of form as personally I feel there is a potential fragility to our position. A combination of injuries, small squad and the uncertainty of the impending transfer window could all have an impact over the next couple of months.

That would be harsh on this group of players who have massively over achieved on performance levels and come together in such a short space of time. So let's keep our feet on the ground, appreciate what MA and the players are doing and have our fingers crossed that they can keep exceeding expectations.

Agree. We have already seen what a few injuries can do (early November), whilst good form needs to be taken advantage of because it's never permanent.
