Who Are The League One Managers? No.15: Karl Robinson (Oxford United):

Oxford United's Karl Robinson is one of a small number of managers in League One who never kicked a ball in the Football League. Having started coaching during his non-league playing days and eventually progressing to the UEFA Pro Licence, he has certainly followed an unusual path through the game.

Thought there would be loads of posts by now 😂 Anyways, feels very different to last Saturday with this being the league. Despite the strangeness of it all, really looking forward to this. Team starting to bed in, exciting new players, tasty opposition and a bit of payback to dish out. Can’t wait. Come on City :wahey:

Well, the first day of a delayed season, it’s football but not as we have known it before. Cannot believe I’m not fuelled up and ready to go.

Come on City, lets start with a win.

I know Liam Bridcutt and Joe Walsh are unlikely to be fit to play, which is a shame, but it will be interesting to see the line up and formation of the team for this tough game. It is just good to have the football starting again and I shall watch it live whilst enjoying a Theakstons Old Peculier or two. Hoping for a win, any sort of win will do.

Difficult one today. We're two or three years behind Oxford in terms of manager and squad consistency and building.

Things will probably have to click for most of the game to get a result but it'll be good too use this game, albeit it's a very early stage, of how we're going to cope with the sides as good as Oxford this season. Not necessarily just the result but how we are in and out of possession.

Fully expecting a loss, Oxford are a strong team with the majority of last seasons very good squad intact. Hoping for a spirited Imps showing and a lot closer result than the last time they visited at SB. Think this challenge will be a little too early for us to overcome but if we play well and its looking like the squad and formations are already gelling, I won’t be too unhappy.

As with everyone else, I think this will be a very difficult game. Don't expect much, would be happy with a point.

Just happy to see Lincoln play in the league again!

Same here, a good performance and I'll be happy.
