Who Are The League One Managers? No.10: Joey Barton (Fleetwood Town):

And so we arrive at the enigma that is Joey Barton: thoughtful insight into the game and an appearance on Question Time at one end of the scale, unsavoury behaviour and a custodial term for assault at the other.

Lincoln City v Fleetwood Town - Prepare For Touchline Tantrums:

"I think Bruno has a point to prove and after his piece of magic against Everton.":

"Play Bruno Andrade from the off. I think Bruno has a point to prove and after his piece of magic against Everton, he needs to be playing against Fleetwood from the very start."

DC: "What we now need to do is use that as a benchmark.":

Summary of yesterday's Press Conference with Danny Cowley.

"At first, like many other fans, I wasn't too keen on the appointment." (Who Are Ya?):

"At first, like many other fans, I wasn't too keen on the appointment, but I trusted the chairman and I like the way it's panned out. There were certain moves that Joey made that the fans (including I) weren't a lot sure on but it was for the best in the long run!"

Current top scorers:
3: Harry Anderson
2: Bruno Andrade, Tyler Walker
1: John Akinde, Jorge Grant, Michael O'Connor, Jason Shackell, Harry Toffolo

Yellow cards (will have to start a thread for this soon):

EFL only (yellow cards are competition-specific):
2: Joe Morrell, Harry Toffolo
1: Harry Anderson

Incidentally, only two League One clubs have a better disciplinary record than dirty old Lincoln:

21. Lincoln 20 points
22. MK Dons 16
23. Gillingham 12

MK Dons and Gillingham (4 each) have played one game fewer than Lincoln (5).

Tranmere lead the way with an almost unbelievable 66 points from only 4 games.

With todays game I can tick off a club whom I've never seen play before in Fleetwood. Of the current 91 that now just leaves Salford, Brentford and strangely Liverpool. Hope the last one is a cup draw this year
Should be a good game. Fleetwood are doing better than many thought so it will be tough but play like we can and 3 points should be ours

Was it Harry A who’s picked up yellows in both Cup games ? Will have to remember next year that he’ll be suspended!

I think we’ll see everyone who didn’t play 90 minutes on Wednesday.
So Vickers, Eardley, Bostwick, Shackell, Morrell, Connolly, Grant, Payne, Walker then Anderson & Toffolo cos they’re Duracell bunnies

Need to be sharper in front of goal today as a team, Payne is overdue a goal.
Still think it has a lot to do with the formation, the forward being so far from the rest of the team, bit further up the pitch will make a huge difference, we seem to get further up in the two home games once we've got into the lead.

I know the Sky commentator said that, but I'm not sure it is right. Given that all yellow cards received in the Carabao Cup are wiped at the quarter-final stage, it seems unlikely that they are carried over to the following season for players not reaching that stage. Red cards are carried over to the following season (i.e. Shackell), but I don't think yellows are in any competition.

Would like to see the forward (Walker) be less isolated today and really get at Fleetwood from the off. Hopefully we won’t see a 4th defeat on the bounce either!

I mean we have scored 8 goals in 3 home games including 2 against a pretty much full strength premier league side and conceded none in the league. I’m not too sure we need to be more or less anything just keep growing and evolving.

All the focus on scoring. Another clean sheet would be nice for me.

Got me thinking about teams I’ve not seen play Lincoln in some form or other.
Salford I guess we’ve never played
Liverpool I didn’t go to the Jack Hobbs friendly
Aston Villa can’t recall seeing them
Man U will be rectified this year
Can’t think of any others

So we will be going into an away game at Doncaster for the second time this season when they will have had a week off (actually ten days without a game, during which time we will have played twice). DC certainly needs his squad management skills at the moment.
