Just setting off across country. Glorious morning on this side of the Midlands. Let's hope for a good game and win to go into the break with happy thoughts. I do hope some of the youngsters get a run out today and the reports of all being injured were a ruse. Anyway looking forward to it as it's nice to have a game with nothing really riding on it other than some players trying to influence MA's midweek decisions.
 
Tommo has twisted his ankle badly and can hardly walk so will miss his last game, he’s gutted. A few things had been lined up for him so that’s really sad.
 
Only five players managed to reach 30 starts in the League this season: Poole 44, McGrandles 39, Griffiths 33, Fiorini 32, Scully 31. Only two others managed to start more than half: Bishop and Maguire with 28 each. That is ridiculous and tells the story of the season in itself.
 
Just looking at the live iFollow broadcast and the Sincil Bank pitch looks stunning. The condition of the pitch looks like it is ready for a new season to start rather than one at the end of a full season played.
 
To be honest with the major surgery that will take place I don’t think you can read too much into the team I reckon no more then about half a dozen possible less if we can move them on of this years squad work be here come the season start
