Match Thread: Lincoln City v Burton Albion

Top week coming up from Tuesday onwards, won`t be able to leave the house whilst the racing is on.
Can`t find odds for this Orchid horse but got a hunch that Best Mate could get in the frame if he is entered for the Gold Cup.
Think i will be backing Dettori all week,,,,,,,,,,guaranteed one or two winners.

Can`t stop now got to get ready to muck out my two thoroughbreds, Glue and Dogfood, both decent handicappers in their day but now out to pasture and only fit for producing horse manure for my specialist rose collection.........horseshit has it`s use.

And ideally a big following there of Frankie fans flying in from Italy ! They'll all be super feverish with excitement.

We rode our luck and took our chances.

It's been a while, so it was great to get a win. Some better and more constructive performances, certainly after the first ten minutes, from Eardley, Melbourne, Coventry and Hopper. Vickers was exceptional and ensured us the much needed three points. Getting there....

Hope to get off to a flyer on Tuesday with the risk free bet with Sky. I'm on Devon Locke in the opener, ridden by Townend the meeting top jockey.

Similar to those of Desert Orchid winning at Cheltenham this week.

What a great horse Dessie was.
Apparently lived to the grand age of 27 after spending his retirement raising thousands for charity and making many public appearances.
Surprised he didn't get a knighthood.

Can you keep a count of how many horse fatalities there are for me please?

3 sadly died last year. But sport always working to improve safety for horses and jockeys.
Compare against human road deaths in UK, around 2000 per year...we don't ban driving though but as per horse racing endeavour to make it safer.

The horses themselves btw love to race...how often do you see a loose horse, who's jockey has come off, nevertheless still race on determined to win?
And winning horses always look so pleased.
And in the wild, horses race each other across the moors. It's in their nature.

See I’ve always thought this was the case as mentioned earlier in the thread.

At least it is when you play one man Wembley with your mates.

Morrell's shot was on target and deflected not one jot. If it had touched a defender on the way in, it would not be given as an own goal (as it was on target). Why, should the ball slightly grazing Scully mean it gets given to Scully ?
And who makes these decisions?
