Half Time: Bournemouth 1-0 Swans.

Bournemouth score a well worked free kick to take the lead in what was their only shot on target. They've forced some last ditch tackles from us, but we've wasted chances. Jordan Ayew shooting wide in front of the goalkeeper after being put through by his brother.

Another dreadful performance. No idea what Carvalhal is trying to do anymore. Tactics again lacking, Ki and Carroll in midfield!? Horrible to watch, he needs to go for it and go 4-3-3, Abraham through the middle and Narsingh wide for pace, you can forget Dyer, and drop those 2 in midfield for King and whoever else wants to try.

Carroll and Ki in midfield? Exactly, can’t tackle and won’t tackle are their names. Every one of the team though, excluding Roberts and Fabianski, ought to hang their heads in shame at that performance.
Bournemouth were there for the taking, coming off three straight defeats, no win in six, and unable to keep a clean sheet in the last 12 home games.
What did Carlos do, play five at the back again with an inept midfield pairing.
There was barely any attacking intent, just stroke it sideways and backwards again, and leave Ayew isolated up front, who never won one of the endless high balls lobbed into the box. We couldn’t take a decent corner, free kick, nor take the three chances we had.
The great away support were once again stunned into silence at that shambles of a team performance.
The players and the manager have badly let down the fans, the club and the city.
You owe us, guys, payback starts Tuesday.

The topic photo above showed what the Bournemouth team might just as well have faced yesterday, an empty field devoid of opposition.

I find it frustrating when Carvalhal's excuse is that we were "dead" when he first arrived and has given us hope. Yes he did, but he himself is throwing away what would be his greatest managerial achievement. We have played some tough sides of late but had we beaten the lower sides, either west Brom, Everton or Bournemouth, just 1 win, would see in a better position.

He's throwing it away now with negative tactics. He picked the 2 midfielders I'd have had on the bench, king and Clucas would have been better options, at least they're more committed and will put a tackle in.

It was similar build up play to when Clement was here, play down the sides or just try and hit long and direct through the middle, but Ayew was isolated and we kept losing possession. We had that 1 shot on target at 45:30 on the clock and didn't have another for the next 45 mins, against a defence that hasn't kept a clean sheet in 2018. We hardly deserve to stay up, but still have a chance if we can somehow beat Southampton on Tuesday night.

I suppose the time for recriminations is after season end.
Moral is obviously low. Carlos has to rally the troops now and we have to cheer them on vociferously the next two games. There are still 6 points up for grabs and safety beckons. We are a different side at home but we need to see more fight from the players than ever before to achieve the points we need, and starting with a stronger midfield and a more potent attack.

People say we're a different team at home, Carlos being one of them, but are we really? We weren't as good as people said against Chelsea and we'll go with a back 5 again. We need to make about 3 changes to the team if we want a chance on Tuesday night, starting with ki and caroll dropped.
