Totonham Forest? Why stop with the badge? , we could become Totingham Forest or Totingham Reds. Or whatever colour is the most commercially successful.

Notts Reds?Totonham Forest?
Not a chance - I have been going every year since way before it was released in the 70's.definately the last 40 odd years, probably soon after the song itself
Paz - I am not advocating Toton - that would be my last choice.but its pretty mcuh the opposite it seems, its exacty why its historic location is so important, that can generate funds where they are needed and they are not needed in toten, give that to the trees
I am waiting for ACDC or Metallica - I am not sure what the good people of WB would make of that.
In the meantime I had a hilarious night watching Livewire, a very good ACDC tribute. I really not usually into tribute acts (no offence to them) but these were very good. Not sure where you're based but they're in Chesterfield in a couple of days.Paz - I am not advocating Toton - that would be my last choice.
The investment is required in or around the city - not the back of beyond.
I think you are right - the Take That gig proves that, if we have the right facilities in and around the city the whole community would benefit. I didn't go to see Take That - but my lad lives in WB and said the whole place was rocking for the whole weekend.
Put 20 to 30 events on throughout the year and you potentially double/treble you commercial revenue (outside of TV money) and the whole community thrives.
I guess the problem is that WB is probably the one place that doesn't need the extra revenue!

i learned the words as a kid in the 80s at the ground :)Not a chance - I have been going every year since way before it was released in the 70's.
Yes we sang it - as a chant - but I can only remember it being our anthem for 15-20 years at the most.
Mind you - I am old and my memory is not what it once was.
near Mansfield - so not far away at all.In the meantime I had a hilarious night watching Livewire, a very good ACDC tribute. I really not usually into tribute acts (no offence to them) but these were very good. Not sure where you're based but they're in Chesterfield in a couple of days.
Yeah - I did as well.i learned the words as a kid in the 80s at the ground :)
That's 'cos we didn't.Yeah - I did as well.
I just don't recall singing it prior to kick-off back then
Thats how I remember it - When did we start singing it 'as our anthem- - I'm guessing 2005'ish?That's 'cos we didn't.
The only song that was played was the old Robin Hood theme. MoK was a fan song just like any other.
no, fair enough thereYeah - I did as well.

Would attract players from abroad who want to live in London rather than West Bridgford, or (if Toton), Long Eaton. I suppose were they to move to Long Eaton, they could get Garry Birtles to come and fit the carpets in their new house though. We should move Tottenham to Totton, which you'd think they would appreciate, given the name, and move ourselves into their ground.
Problem solved.
