On Saturday, Kyle Kashuv, who survived the tragic Parkland shooting and has become one of the few avid supporters of the Second Amendment after the event, appeared on Fox News and explained his experience at the March for Our Lives.
Kashuv first slammed his classmate, David Hogg, for hanging up on the White House, saying it was “immature, and it paints a bad light on my entire generation.”

I wouldn't trust The Blaze, Fieldy--it's not a real news organization. (I'm not saying that as a partisan statement--it's just really not.) The info may be good--I have no idea--but that source is awful.

I also have no problem with them not putting up a speaker who does not support the cause of the march. This wasn't a rally for MDS students. It was a global march in support of gun control. Much like I wouldn't expect a march sponsored by anti-abortion groups to invite Planned Parenthood and give them a platform, his views are not aligned with the cause, so why should he speak?

No I agree, just found it interesting that sites like that all seemed to be kicking out anti march/opposite views at roughly the same time with an under current of 'not being allowed to speak' and censorship.

Yeah, it's definitely a coordinated attack. If you google this kid's name it's insane. He's hitting all of the right-wing outlets and is the go-to counterpointer. It's all just making me insane.

Without doubt, and not a great surprise to be fair either. No hadn't searched for him, but certainly not surprised he got traction across that side of life.

I still find it surprising people don't make more of the 2nd in terms of the 'as part of a well regulated militia' or whatever the wording is, I still don't see how the 2nd amendment actually gives 'the people' the right to bare arms in a private capacity.

There are a large number of us reminding people of the "well regulated" part. The Supreme Court officially interpreted it as applying to individuals as well as militias, which is part of why we are in this mess. The NRA is incredibly powerful and, unfortunately, politicians from both parties are afraid to cross them. Money in politics is going to be the death of us all. Literally.

I thought there would be as for me it's always stood out, but certainly in terms of the press 'we' have access to here, even allowing for my ventures into US media, it just seems to be a point of discussion that never gets aired.

Sadly not surprised but to be honest my take on the US Supreme Court is basically it's an oxymoron as there's little I find Supreme about it. I bet the decision came down to commas or lack thereof, but as it exists in a written sense I can't see sense in how it can apply to individuals.

The best I got to was individual ownership BUT via a local barracks where they are stored, used, trained on etc, should a 'militia' be needed.

In the UK it goes on as well, but certainly the US is a prime example of a single issue specialist lobbying group effectively deciding which candidate succeeds pretty much at all levels within so called democracy.

Whole thing stinks really, but too many benefit from it so it's not going to change any time soon, although if the current marchers can remain together come 2020 when they can vote, that could be an interesting one.

At least there's hope on the horizon if they can keep it together and I must say I've been incredibly impressed with them so far.

I am hoping there will be a big young voter turnout in November. We might not have a presidential election again until 2020 but there are several House and senate seats that could change.
