Mansfield season tickets?

We would have been happy with that amount only a short time ago. We are in a different Lge in terms of support currently, though we all know things may not be like that forever so let's enjoy it whilst it lasts.

We have to be realistic. As much as Clive and his friends' investment was immensely important, even a game changer for us it has to be put into context. Without selling the ground out we could not and probably still cannot compete with the money men (cash thrown around) at the likes of County, village green and Mansfield. What they don't have fortunately is our management duo.

Whilst the "money men" may be unrealistically funding the likes of Forest Green and Mansfield, they can only sustain that for a limited period (either they lose too much or boredom sets in).
Only a self-supporting club can have long-term sustainable success.
Investors (like Clive) can provide key funds to enable a step-up in fortunes (in a similar way that a new machine can help a business up its production for example) but such investment should be fixed and earn itself back in due course.
We are very clearly going about things the right way and long way it continue

Spot on but isn't it frustrating that as one falls another or two take their place e.g. Rushden replaced by Fleetwood and then Crawley (in their bank rolled phase) etc. etc..

I’ve always wondered if Clive’s investment has ready paid itself back to him. Surely he’s taken something out in a dividend from FA Cup run last year?

Hardly fair to compare our City which has a University, Cathedral, Castle and booming football club with a Town having an education centre, a shopping arcade, and the Buttercross Market Monument. I suppose it's like comparing us to Grimsby or Scunthorpe. No wonder the Cowleys, and many more season ticket holders have chosen Lincoln.

Nearly 1,500 season tickets at this stage actually doesn't sound too bad for the Stags. Their away support at Lincoln has always been commendable considering the size of home crowds.

Some of these thread about how good our support is compared to others will look extremely stupid in the future.
They look ridiculous right now. There will be plenty of fans of other clubs that remember our away support as 1 or 2 Wings coaches and a transit van. Colin Murphy took us to within 90 minutes of the second division and we could only break 5000 at home if the visitors brought loads. By all means celebrate the remarkable surge in support but grow up and stop gloating, please.

Mansfield are an odd one, they take more to Notts County than they get at home most weeks. Must be a reason they prefer leaving the place...

Agree with the general gist of this, nothing wrong with being a small club, but I wholeheartedly reserve the right to take the pee on an industrial scale where our delusional cod friends are concerned given their cringable and hilarious claims at being a big club. I get no joy from ridiculing stags and scunts,or anyone else come to that.

Psssst don't forget they may well be our fiercest rivals but we are not their rivals so we shouldn't be taking the Mike out of them either really.
