Mangala

Outstanding stuff.

Sutton - the latest player to start verbalising random thoughts without exercising any judgement. He is as bad as Danny Mills IMO.

Oh, btw.....anyone heard from Mr Bitter Mills today?

Sutton was out of order.

A professional pundit shouldn't be saying that sort of thing - even if a lot think the same.

He had a great night last night so let's hope he is starting to use his noodle more.

Anyone hear the BT Sport rags talking about the "empty seats" and lack of atmosphere after the game?

Alan Green just . mentioned the atmosphere (in a positive way) on 5 Live.

Mangala had a good game - perhaps he finds the CL 'easier' than the PL? Ibrahimovic was disappointing over the two legs, hope the rags buy him.

He had one sliced clearance last night that almost led to a chance for them, had they scored that the pitchforks would be out for Manga regardless of how he played for the rest of the game, it has been ever thus, he will play well, be it in Europe or PL, will make one silly error which costs us and gets pilloried.

Atmosphere sounded good to me on TV, there was a lull at one stage early in 2nd half, I believe that due to tension but it didn't last long and the crowd ramped it up again quick enough.

The crowd was understandably nervous - it was, after all uncharted territory, and we are not renowned for crowing about a victory before it is won (unlike some). I did at one point get perilously close to turning off the BT Sport commentary early on in the match was Steve McPointalot droned on and on and on for an AGE about the atmosphere and the crowd. It was interminable :017: and he finally ended up with reckoning that the crowd should be more like those experienced in Turkey :034:

Really?

Heavens above. If the atmosphere at the Etihad was ever as toxic, poisonous, vile and threatening as you can see at some fixtures there then I would never set foot inside the ground again. No thank you.

I did exactly that Skoorb, turned off the sound, it is so depressing when you dont get the backing and always the snide remarks.

Sutton has been at the trough alongside all the rest of the anti-City brigade who have declared open season on us since the Chelsea FA Cup EDS outing. Great to see him equalised by another one of our nice chaps.

Mangala will be a beast. He's young and inexperienced, but as Sutton points out, he's strong and quick.

As Sutton fails to point out, he's good with the ball and has an eye for a pass.

I think Pep will turn him into a superstar, and he will justify what we paid for him

Good comment 5th I agree most definitely.
Good pics Bluey and as for Sutton, may his dick fall off from all that shaking.

I think that VK , with his injury problems could be about to adopt the MD role.

The Mangler and the Otter are beginning to form a partnership, and with some coaching to eradicate Otters rashness, they will be a formidable partnership.

Six clean sheets in the last nine games. Not bad for a side which 'can't defend without Vincent Kompany' (TM Sky/BT Sport pundits)

Haven't heard that old gem in a while now.......

Just shows what a bit of stability in selection can do. The disruption to our defensive unit suffered during the first two thirds of the season had a significant impact. Zabaleta, Kompany, Clichy, Mangala, Kolarov - have all missed serious chunks of the campaign & coupled with the prolonged absences of Aguero, Nasri & De Bruyne it made me chuckle when the commentator this evening referred to Chelsea's 'recent injury problems'

I've read elsewhere that we have the most clean sheets in the league this season, can't be true, can it?

Schmeichel has kept 14 clean sheets to Joe Hart's 13 so close but not quite top dogs in that regard
