Manchester United FC vs. Tottenham Hotspur

If Harry can have another season like the last three we will be in good shape, other than citeh I don't believe there is another team that have as many player capable of hitting double figure as us.
Kane, Alli, Eriksen, Son and now Moura. Hopefully with Toby back in the fold our defense can get back to the level of season before last.
Taking all this into consideration 85+ should be a realistic target, unlike most I believe we have cover for every position (including Kane).

With Toby back in the line up our offense is much better as well.

His entire contribution was deficient in the critical areas that defines, finishing second, third and fourth as we have been doing, but not being quite good enough to be first. One day you might appreciate being clinical and ruthless.

One reviewer noted his attack failures but rated his performance highly generally. Praising him for adopting a deeper role to bolster midfield. Rated him a 9 out of 10 which is generous but goes to show other aspects are seen, not just a couple of rash decisions.

I'm on a Greek island so watched the game on a hooky stream with an Aperol spritz around midnight. After which I got legless and having a hair of the dog and a manic grin all morning. I totally agree with Rich it's Delle Alli that needs to look out because you could see Son Lucas Kane with Ericksen deep rasing our tempo considerably. If Winks comes back anywhere near what he was we may make the hysteria over the lack of signings look daft. That said I think we should be adding good young players because we can and need silverware. COYS!!
Cheers to your spreeetz! (That’s how they taught me to say it in Ee-taly.)

Aha I loved that. We were pretty lucky not to be 3 or 4 down at half time but not our problem they didn't take their chances. We did.

If we can get Wana back at his best that team last night will take some stopping.

Loving Moura playing quite centrally. He gives us that pace and dribbling ability we have missed for years.

COYS

Anyone got any advice on how to re-watch the game?
I saw it live on a stream but want to recapture the elation of the second half!
Got BT sport but not Sky.

Rose is always rusty when he comes back. It will take a few games for him to start proving he is better than Davies. Then Rose will get injured again..and repeat.

So like Ex and I both believe...yep we should have sold Rose and hope we still do.

I think it's a difficult one. If he breaks down again for
a long period I would sell. But he could have a part to play still this season. I wouldn't sell him based on lack of ability or mental instability as he has admitted to.

Overall still extremely satisfied with the win. Loving all the Jose talk about him demanding respect, and blah, blah, blah....******!!!!

All of you know I am critical of players sometimes and get impatient during matches...but I love this team and 100% support them. This was a win that made me very proud as a Spurs fan...this was very unlike us...we did not bottle it (almost/tried hard in the first half to...but we didn't). We held on and were patient...then finally found our rhythm and destroyed them. We still have weaknesses, and need to strengthen in some areas, but we got something going here...just need to keep it all together.

Great Players - find ways to impact the games and force results...right when it/they are needed the most (Thank you Kane, we needed that!!!) CHECK

Great Coaches - Make changes when needed to get the result and place Great Players in the best positions to succeed. CHECK

Great Teams - Made up of Great Players & led by a Great Coach.

SPURS!!!! COYS!!!

NRD, very true. Most definitely not because of the issues he is dealing with. I would sell if I question his ability (which I know he has the ability, he has shown that...so not that) or his decision making (which I DO question regularly...and to me is the main issue going forward with him).

If Spurs have any ambition, they won't sell Rose in these next few days. Whether we believe he is not the player he was, or is not the most stable character in the squad, he brings the squad balance we need this season. He is one of 2 specialist LB's and is a critical cog.

To my knowledge, he's contracted until 2021 so we can make that decision down the line. There's also a lack of great full backs available right now.

I also hope that our LB's performance won't be a weekly conversation this season. It has been 3 out of 3 games so far.

LOL yep one of those weaknesses I mentioned!
