'United's day'
Man City 0-2 Man Utd

Robbie Savage
Ex-Wales midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Incredible run - but the run had to come to an end and it's come to an end against their opponents from across the city. They're still the best team in the country and got a great opportunity to still win all four competitions they're involved in.

United have been very good today let's take nothing away from them. The way they've moved, the counter attacking football and the way they've nullified City. City have been off today - Kevin de Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan have been ineffective and Sterling has missed a couple of chances. It's just been United's day.

Very good display tactically from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - he got it spot on nullifying Kevin de Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan. City became frustrated.

Luke Shaw was immense in the second half he was so dynamic in his runs. City, it wasn't their day and United were tactically very good. Not enough players for City were at their best today.

'We did almost everything perfect'
FT: Man City 0-2 Man Utd

Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes, speaking to Sky Sports: "It's always difficult to play against Manchester City. They are difficult on the ball and tough to play against. Today we did almost everything perfect.

"It's not about winning against City, it's about winning every game.

"Scoring in the first minute was perfect, we had more space to counter. We remained focused until the end of the game. When we defend well we know we'll have chances to score.

"The league is not a sprint. It's is a marathon. We have to do our best and not think about others."

On his celebration: "It is for my kids. Every time I score it's for them."

Mahrez was not a 7. No way. He was completely anonymous in the second half (& he wasn‘t alone). A 5 at best.

Any theories on why this happened? Fatigue? Believing the hype?
Handed them a gift inside the first minute. Threw us off our game. We gained some control.......but then gifted them another at the start of the second and then we failed to take our chances. All our shooting efforts were weak or straight at Henderson. Had Rodri’s effort not clipped the wrong side of the crossbar it would have been a different game IMO.

Stones: Easily City's best player. He kept his cool in the first half especially, striding forward confidently on the ball while being alert to the dangers around him. 7

This guy is so disingenuous. He was a little turd from the get go.
