Once one goal went in, the floodgates went in.

You don't want to see that but it shows the professionalism of Man City.

Well, that's the second time I've seen City score ten live, and for an entrance fee of £7.50.....

Like you, Skoorb, I'm officially elderly, but it was too late for one aspect of my season card, as I had to pay full adult price for the PL games, but for cup ties I qualify for the over 65 rate. If I'd be born 12 days earlier.....I'll have to wait until next season for the full discount.

The irony was Exeter had the first decent effort on goal, which Trafford did well to turn over the bar. Once the first City goal went in, it was a bit of a stroll, especially after the Rodri thunder bastard, and the two pretty quick goals before half time.

One aspect of the day was the requirement for sun glasses during the first half, and it was pleasing to see so many Academy players on the field, and a lot of the seniors getting a rest with the two tough upcoming fixtures.

Semenyo did the simple things required, took his man on as necessary, and produced a cracking cross for the Lewis first goal, and took his chance well, burning off the defender for pace. I think he may start on Tuesday, unless he's cup-tied.

All round, a very satisfying afternoon, with the bonus of several PL clubs not being in the hat for the fourth round, principally due to the all PL ties, and a couple of surprises.

Old fart, three and a half more years for me. :clown:

City’s three biggest wins in the FA Cup all came in the inter-war period.
We beat Swindon 10-1 in January 1930 for our most comprehensive victory, with the 9-0 defeat of Gateshead in 1933 and 11-4 win over Crystal Palace in 1926 the next best. How is it that our Viking failed to score against Exeter? I hold him fully accountable for failing to take out an all-time scoring record, he has to do better.

Pep Lijnders reaction 📺

On Ryan McAidoo display 👇
“Everyone saw it. The guy he wants the ball constantly.
“When he faces the goal he’s so dangerous. He keeps the ball in different situations.
“This drive of always wanting to create especially with the guys on the outside. We want these kinds of players.
“If you train early they can adapt quicker to the first team.
“Ryan is serious. The way he follows Erling and chases. He played 95 mins and he's not played for quite a long time.
“He gives me a smile when he gets the ball and the fans too and that's special.”

On Antoine Semenyo debut 👇
“A lot of good performances today.
“When the team plays like that it's easier for individuals.
“We followed him for a long time and he brings something to the front line we need.
“He wants to chase, he doesn't stop.
“He can adapt quickly to our style so it's nice to have him with us.”

Macclesfield rightly will get the headlines today but had that result not been occupying the media I am sure they would have gone with
Haaland fails to score again - goal drought continues.
See below for a heat map of his touches (No touch maps are available for any other player because we’re simply not obsessed with them. How many touches the most prolific goal scorer in PL history has keeps us awake at night).

Or similar :bag:

Tell you who that game will have been good for…….Pep. Nice for him to be able to take a back seat and relax watching a game for a change rather than having his BP monitor slip into the red on the touchline. He may not have relished having to watch from the stands because of the touchline ban but no better way to serve it than for this match ( :hmmm: cunning plan? :hmmm:) and observe, live from a higher angle.

Let’s hope it gives confidence to the whole squad moving forward.
