Manchester City Announce 25-Man Squad

Tudor

Vital Football Legend
Premier League clubs, after the closure of every transfer window must submit their 25-man squad for the remaining season.

Whilst clubs have a certain criteria to stick to in order to meet the requirements, they must provide a list with no more than 17 players who aren't a home grown player, which means eight have to be.

A home grown player is a player that has to have been registered for three years, or seasons with the FA or Welsh FA before their 21st birthday regardless of where they were born.

As ever, anyone under the age of 21 can be included and don't need to be listed in the main squad.

So the list on the home page wasn't the list of approved players it was a list of those who could be on the list, my mistake.

Samir Nasri, does lose out and according to some may not get the chance if offloaded this Summer.

No guarantees that Nasri will be fit in time to make much difference to either our CL campaign or the league, so makes sense to include Kelechi.

With so many others out injured he's going to have to play more, even if we don't win either of these competitions, the experience will be good for him
