Jurgen Klopp talking to Sky Sports: "To get a point at Manchester City for each team in the world is absolutely OK.

"There were a few situations where we couldn't defend their quality. We could have won this game, because we forced the goalkeeper into a few outstanding saves.

"We a phase between 50-70 where we had them and didn't close the game. We let them recover on the pitch, so they came back.

"They deserved the goal, but we could have scored more. Two highly motivated sides, both wanted to win until the last seconds."

Pep Guardiola on Sky Sports.

“You cannot imagine. It is one of happiest days of my career as a manager. I am so proud.

“After the Champions League, the last few days at training people were so, so, sad, people don’t talk too much. We arrive here against Liverpool who have no Europe all season and one week to prepare. The spirit, how we played, it is one of my happiest days as a manager.

“We created more than them. Our problem is we don’t score when there are easy goals. At least we showed spirit that we didn’t show in the first half in Monaco.

“When you approach one game after 10 games winning nothing is special. You have to consider the situation we played this game, how we played against them, a top team - they have exceptional players – means a lot to me. That is why I am so happy."

Milneymar on Sky Sports:

“Both teams went for it. I am sure it was good for the neutrals to watch. We are disappointed that when we have been up we have not got three points. A draw was fair in the end.

“They are such a good team. They’ve got runners everywhere, they’re all sharp. It is not the easiest of days coming here. We can’t be too disappointed with a point."

Asked about his first half-challenge on Raheem Sterling, Milner said: “It was 50-50. It is one of those where you have seen them given. Lucky for me it wasn’t.”

Eer, sorry James, I have to disagree with that last assessment. He makes it sound like they were both guilty of committing a foul. Sorry mate, you took his legs and prevented him from scoring. Straight red for you mate and a penalty.

a red and a penalty changes the game, its OK for the ref to miss one penalty appeal but two in the same incident is unforgivable.

Quite astonishing that the first incident in that clutch, the pull back by Klaven, was just ignored. Also comical how both ex Liverpool players were absolutely desperate to claim that Mane kicking the back of Otamendi's calf should have been a penalty for the dippers. Niall Quinn, for once, stood up for City

The media say the booing of Milner was an enigma, obviously this rporter has not seen the slagging off of City by said cheating bastard.

I don't recall Sterling doing that to Liverpool, in fact they should be thanking him for the £49m so they could buy some decent players and still end up with a £19m loss

Did the same biased twats say the same when the bin dippers gave Sterling a hard time when he joined us?
