Michael Carrick, speaking to Sky Sports:

"It’s a point gained for us.

"We thought we could catch City on the break and we did have a couple of chances but overall I thought we did well except at the end when there was a bit of excitement.

"It makes things more difficult when you go down to 10 men."

Vincent Kompany, speaking to Sky Sports:

"We got a point - it's not so bad but we never felt like the game was difficult or they were a threat.

"It's happened a lot this season - good games but just not the result. Rashford and Martial have got so much ability and such a bright future ahead.

"They are lightning quick and with a bit more experience can cause a lot more trouble."

Desperate stuff when the limit of their ambition is to play that way.

Tyler and Neville heaping praise on the rags for their 'resilience' :017: I still recall Mancini, in his first season, securing a draw at the Emirates and getting absolutely slated for not sending his team out with "more intent". **cking sychophants :019:

Sergio Aguero attempted nine shots. The last player to attempt more in a game against the Red Devils was Cristiano Ronaldo (11) for Real Madrid in March 2013.

.....but all they are **cking talk about is how well the rags played

YCMIU

With these stats you think they would actually talk about the side that tried to **cking win the bloody game. Unbelievable

Here we go...

Jose Mourinho, speaking to Sky Sports:

"We wanted to do more in terms of attacking and to explore more of the counter attack. In the first half we had good control but the second became more difficult.

"We had to make a decision to play for the draw and had to fight hard to take a point.

"They started strong, pushed hard and I promised not to speak about players who weren't playing so I won't but we just didn't have the quality of players in midfield - we were missing quality there.

"In the first half, we were always dangerous and there were points where our movement could have been the start of something important but we lost too many balls."

Jose Mourinho to Sky Sports on Marouane Fellaini's red card for headbutting Sergio Aguero:

"I didn't watch the Fellaini incident on TV but I spoke with Fellaini.

"He thinks it was a red card because he is Fellaini. I spoke to Martin - he thinks it was a red card.

"I can guess it's a bit of a red card and a bit of a very smart, very experienced Argentinian player."

Pep Guardiola speaking to BBC Sport:

"We cannot forget which team we were against tonight. They created two clear chances and I am satisfied. I know how difficult it is to play against Manchester United.

"Every game until the last game now will be a final.

"We have the talent but it's not easy with so many players behind the ball.

"We all have tough games coming up now and we know it's not an option to not win these games. Every game is important."

Praise for the Stretfords is pouring in. Van Gaal had less funds than Mourinho and got the bullet for the same mediocre, drab tactics.

But the Stats pile up....

This was United’s lowest amount of possession in a Premier League game since Opta started recording that data in 2003-04. They had 30.8% of the ball.

Sane's form has dipped the last couple of games and he showed some signs inexperienced youth last night perhaps frustrated things weren't going his was - let his head drop a bit. Sterling tipried but was guilty imo of overplaying and just not trying to take on his fb.

The spark that was added when Jesus came on was noticeable (accepting that they were in full lock down mode and down to ten men - having said that they had spent most of the night defending their penalty area so it may be moot)

The praise the rags are getting for showing ZERO ambition to win a game is astounding.

Maureen on the sending off has effectively branded Agüero a cheat :-

"Martin Atkinson told me that in his opinion it is a red card, but I saw Aguero in the tunnel and no broken nose, no broken head, his face is nice as always. I am not sure…"

Mark my words, the media will be debating whether Agüero is a cheat and NOT whether Fellaini should have been sent off, the agenda has been set

I expect a retrospective ban for Sergio for simulation :103:

Seriously though.......will the rags be charged for the way in which their players surrounded the referee? Watch this space. Given that City were after the Liverpool game if the rags are not..........then it will be further evidence in my book of the institutional bias we have witnessed all season

Neville sniggering that Bravo had to be stretchered off, for what he considered just a calf strain, although he did say sorry if this was not a calf strain,

Neville please note that the physios and Doctor in attendance do not call for a stretcher as a routine thing and can be seen quite clearly to call for the stretcher, not a time waster either as City were on top for 99% of the game.

Once again City failed to press home their advantage and break down a United defence, but whoa for a second, that is wrong because City created many chances to score and were inches away on several occasions.

Jesus scored the goal from an onside position, if only he had been in front of the defender things might have been different, but he was clearly offside when the ball was crossed.

His booking was a joke, his foot wasn't high and it was Rashford's follow through, but not a bookable offence for me, as Gabby was only trying to block the ball.

Otamendi and Kompany did their jobs and it is great to see them play so well, Obviously with the speed of the Rag players they caused some problems when they did venture up the field but every thing was dealt with professionally, although I think we had the slowest back four in our squad out there, but all of them consummate professionals with wise heads.

I think we forget that Sané is only young and this may have been too much for the young lad, but he will get better and maybe we could have introduced Jesus sooner, but the latter was injured late on although he stayed on the field I think he got a kick on the foot he has been out with and may suffer a reaction from that.

I note Bailly lunge both legs off the ground to put a ball out of play in itself is not a foul but had (I think) Sané been closer the rag would have taken him and the ball. Luckily Bailly missed but got the ball; Does this make it OK?

Sunday at 2.05pm kickoff we take on Boro who cannot afford to park the bus.

I had reservations about Neville when he hung up his boots and took up media work. But I subsequently withdrew those reservations after he settled into his role and found him to be impartial, fair and able to offer insights that were refreshing (due to his very recent playing experience) and relevant.

However last evening I feel he let himself down badly and showed his true colours. The schoolboy sniggering with his bestie Martin 'Chief Sycophant' Tyler regarding Bravo was certainly a low point -
it was childish, partisan and wholly unprofessional. No one knows what had been assessed and in any event it's not like Bravo could bum shuffle off the pitch to the touchline by the tunnel. The last thing you want to do is walk any distance especially immediately after it happens as you only risk exacerbating the injury.

The rest of his 'commentary' was more biased and one sided than I have ever heard previously. Heaping praise on the rags for their approach and the 'amount of effort they have put in' whilst not in any way decrying Maureen's approach. It may well be legitimate to try and nick a point but the fact that they spent nearly the entire post match time in the broadcast discussing the rags and only spoke about City for about 7 minutes says it all. Neville also managed to get a dig in at Guardiola during the post match discussions which was snide and once again unprofessional.

He revealed his true colours last night and shown himself to be a partisan, biased individual and a mouthpiece for Maureen :019: :068:
