Vital Football Legend
The official St Johnstone website confirmed, what other media outlets began to report yesterday and that is the Scottish Premiership side will take on Manchester City, in a ‘behind closed doors’ friendly this Wednesday, 3 August 2016.

The game will take place at the CFA however, no kick off time has been announced. It is thought various elements of the media will be allowed to attend and report on the game, however, no spectators will be allowed anyway near.

I wonder why that no spectators are allowed, maybe because it is short notice and they cannot get the safety requirements together to allow members of the public in.

I wonder if those on the Club tour will get lucky and be allowed to watch.

I wondered that, and came to the conclusion GMP didn't fancy dealing with a load of p****d up visiting jocks as such short notice. (Apologies to any of our north of the border brethren).

The GMP would be ready any day. It maybe because they could not cater and steward it at short notice, but CityTV could stream it.

I'm sure they could cope, it was just my poor attempt at humour.

There was a tweet from Mark Booth ( one of City's journalists ) earlier Rising saying there won't be any updates or reports on the game.

There is an awful lot of crap on there but when you sort the wheat from the chaff it can be good to keep you bang up to date.
