Main Stand

Two home games in and we haven't sold out any of them. Only 23,000 tonight and corporate seats looked empty. 35,000 capacity stadium is more than enough.
35-40 always made sense, especially with less and less people being able to afford to keep up.. different if went 50k and ten quid a ticket but ... we could follow the sheeps example and give away free tickets here and there haha

I am not disagreeing with you.
Ignoring the corporate packages - because the ticket price has no effect on them.
The simple math is that by charging £25 they made more money than they would have by charging £10 and selling 7,000 more seats
if only we can get 10k paying 100 quid we are sorted

F**k me - I am not agreeing with it!
Just stating their thought process

If it was me - it would have been free for SC holders and kids for a quid
and £50 for all f**king new fans that weren't interested 2 years ago

lol no, i was in alignment with you

Over 7,000 seats unsold last night and most corporate packages unsold also. That's a lot of revenue lost. £15 or £20 would have been better pricing last night. Also a 50,000 seater stadium less than half full would be embarrassing. 35,000 capacity City Ground is more than enough.

I thought last night was a bargain, and if we'd known about it earlier, we probably wouldn't have paid £109 for two tickets to see Wolves. (£60 plus £49 if I remember correctly). And we got in the middle block in the Upper Trent, as opposed to Upper BC on Saturday).

Got a ticket for tomorrows game and delighted. Went on official site and nothing available so went to livefootballtickets. I’d go a lot more if I could. And, I was home and away years ago then work changed and I had to work weekends. I went on the evenings or Sundays still. But think 40,000 is needed

I would look at a ground capacity between 42-45k. We need to be ambitious and say at least say 45k, with the design build allowing any increase on top of that if the future demand warranted it.

Piece on the BBC website this morning regarding the dire financial state that Nottingham City Council are in. The government's lead commissioner is interviewed and gives his views. Interestingly he states that Council owned property will continue to be sold off. I would be amazed given the circumstances if EM does not currently own a certain part of West Bridgeford.

The proposed new main stand could be altered to 15000 rather than 10k I believe. That would be a big step. The facilities in the ground are very poor all around. Everything needs an update at the least.

These containers in the corners don’t seem to be progressing much, unless you chaps who go can see progress?
Maybe foundations all done and now we have no game for a month at home they’ll be ready for Fulham?

Read a report from some stadium designer (did Tottenham and doing Fulham) who say staying in the city rather than being on the outskirts is the modern take on what’s important for a sports club. Naturally, carbon footprint, sustainability and being eco friendly are essential but so too is being at the heart of the community with mixed use another factor. If we want our club to make a statement we need it to have the ground improved with an eye on future participation. VR and metaverse are things to be aware of. It might be a blessing we haven’t had spades on the ground yet as the advances in technology since Covid mean we can do so much more.

Current City Ground capacity 30,400+ after this summers redevelopment of the corporate facilities. 3 games in this season and we haven't sold out once. No point in a 50,000 capacity stadium if we only sell it out 6 times a season. 35,000 more than enough for us.

The old main stand has had too much recently spent on it for a complete start again ,scheme in my opinion. More likely to be an add on and alteration design if anything as I have said before.

Previous capacity was about 29,400.

None of the new corporate corner blocks are open yet. Not even the little bunch of seats in the Trent end corner. St John's ambulance were sitting in those yesterday.

We got 29,900 on Saturday.

You are making three assumptions.

First, that current capacity, today, is 30,400- which I don't think it is.

Secondly, that all the empty seats are in the Forest areas

Third, that any empty seats are a result of lack of interest.

I think you are probably wrong on all three counts

The waiting list suggests we could do higher. I’m not even on that as simply gave up with the idea but I’d be keen to go more often. Had to buy my ticket via a ticket site as none on the OS.

I can't imagine a stand of that size being possible on the available footprint to be honest. Where have you got your information from? Is it a creditable source?

Oh no, I’m certainly only speculating personally. The young architect who designed the brick 50,000 stadium was interviewed on one of the you tube forest channels and he said it was possible. In fact he surmised that the PT stand could also be the same size.
