Main Stand

That could have been Vital had it not been for the sordid clique and their array of tops off, battered wotnot, tap 2 in-joke BS.

This used to be a real forum but sadly, hundreds of decent, honest, sexy posterws are leaving daily to post over THERE.

Not that I know nor care given I have everyone (including myself) firmly on ignore

I must have been the only one who left there to join here many years ago?

Full of kids on there when I was on it

Maybe they've all grown up now?

My voice broke last week, I am well chuffed. I can buy Hooch and a packet of Lambert & Desperates now, such were my dreams in 1996.

More industry level info from the oracle.

Today, i was familiar with such notions as the JIT model to car building and the philosophy of agile, to name just two.

Just come across the concept of MAD: very eye opening.

Given their background, i would hope their sage advice is being whispered into the ears of the powerbrokers (EM, Randall, Nottm CC and RBC etc) to make it happen!

Thanks LP!

EDIT: further info regarding the shoulders rubbed from the dude: namely, the higher ups at NCC from a few years back.

TBH, we'd be mindful to sticky that thread and keep abreast of all the to'ings and fro'ings of the PT rebuild, IMO.
JIT is rarely used in car building nowadays; most of the sequencing (the JIT element) is carried out in house by the OEM.

Its just a fad; they will be back to JIT again in 5 years

And Agile is a methodology not a philiosophy, and not a very good one at that.

I missed it yesterday, (apologies for the tardy update) buts its been confirmed that we're staying the City Ground (no relocation to gamston, toton, eastside etc).

Good news.

Excellent! Poor Jim can route that money to an even more impressive Americas Cup challenge next cycle. Double thumbs up.
The guy hasn't paid tax for years - living in Monaco.
He now wants the government to fund the building of a new ground and it will probably be owned and ran from a tax free haven so he can drain more money out of the country - fuck him - we shouldn't be contributing a penny to Brexit Jim

What I find despicable is if the government/local council do fund this, it boosts their revenue and P&L considerably, which means that in it’s current form, PSR allows them to spend/lose even more, which creates an even bigger gap to us. It’s not fair.

These rules need completely scrapping… this is beyond anything to do with sustainability at this point.

Why did you think it ever was? The Premier league requires a financially stable top 6 or so with the rest making up the numbers. The bottom 3 from the championship just swapping amongst themselves provides the dream. Pretty much perfect if you ask me.

And you can bet that they won’t repay anything while raking in the profits. Fuck ‘em - they can pay for their own stadium.

74,000 attendance every home game and they're in financial difficulty and what about their worldwide replica kit sales ffs! I hope the wankers get relegated and that we help to put them down there. Why does the uk media assume everyones interested in them and wants them to do well. Come in Manchester United you're time is up.
It’s what happens when a club spends 100s of millions on rubbish. Now it’s everyone else’s fault and up to tax payers to bail them out.

If you visit the rebuild behind St Pancras, it includes entertainments leisure hospitality and seating on the banks of the canal. Small scale but very attractive especially on sunny days. I notice the drawings for the new United stadium has similar but on a bigger scale. Think Wimbledon and Henman Hill. Screens are floating in the water. These mock up drawings are supplied by Fosters the same architects who are working at the City Ground. One of the appeals of the WFCG is it proximity to the Trent and the causeway from the river. The approach in the drawings to the Manchester United Big Top is attractive. Something has to be included in the WFCG drawings that maximises the Trent and its facilities. Much could be privately financed or could be longterm income.
