I have emailed the Vanrama National League to enquire if they have a different set of rules than other leagues in view of the fact that the tackle was not sanctioned.

Well done LGC! Just commented on the article that the assault on McAlinden and the subsequent 'play-on' was just too much.

I think that Tweet has been taken down. I just cannot find the video evidence anywhere now.... if anyone does know where it is please post.

Just keeping your eye on the ball you can see there is no deviation in it's path. Red card all day long. And now a hospitalised player.

No response from the League but, as Cropped noticed, the tweet has been taken down. Presumably for copyright reasons rather than any reflection on the refereeing decision.
