I have a feeling Luque may end up in my all-time Cult Imps XI , alongside Malcolm Dunkley and Bruce Grobelaar ....
Andy Gorton too? There is a surfeit of goal keepers in that 11, one can add John Burridge and Barry Richardson.
Billy Cobb and Lee Angol may argue with that.Remember Dunkley against Cambridge well... must be the best ever imps debut.
He's a right footed player with an eye for goal isn't he, if so he could well provide the competition needed for Harry Anderson as Danny obviously doesn't see Gordon in his starting line-up!I'm a fan of that. Let's see the guy play a bit. Unless the recall is because he wasn't playing enough.

And Jae Martin. Great in his first game.
Me the mrs and son and daughter were sat next to his mam in a sparsely occupied senility. His mam was so proud of him, bless her!And Jae Martin. Great in his first game.
I recall when he was on loan he had a great game and the whole crowd was shouting sign him up.
So we did.
Hindsight would be a great piece of kit sometimes!!

Colchester? 3-2 win, great game! And Jae Martin. Great in his first game.
I always thought he flattered to deceive. He had some ability but no end product. Funny career after he left us as he played for another 18 clubs all mostly non league ones in the Birmingham area. He is in his 40s now.
Just watched the Accrington game. Difficult to judge given the nature of the game and the standard of the players. But, I did think there's something about Luque's game. Clearly a skillful player - some lovely passes and runs, plus some good defensive work. Doesn't look overly fit, especially with him cramping up around 70 mins. The only other concern I have is how he adapts to the physical nature of the game. I actually think he might do better at a higher level where he might get a bit more time & space? Difficult to say. Hope we keep him & develop him though.
