I'm fine with him leaving. Just want as much dosh as poss to replace or put to JOCs replacement.
I like Lundy but i won't be overly bothered when he does move on either Sean.I just don't see that he's been as poor as others think he's been,he hasn't been gr8 either but then apart from Sander which midfielder has on a regular basis since lockdown? It would be interesting to see Bogle tried in midfield i suppose but i haven't seen enough of him to make a judgement one way or the other.UTMPB

Me neither rod. Only CWAK know.

Rangers can sign a pre contract with Lundstram six months before his deal runs out. For English clubs it has to be one month.

Celtic will be looking to do this with Ben Davies of PNE come January, a rumoured CW target.

The thing with pre contracts is, are players going to try their hardest, are they going to pull out of tackles to avoid risking injury ? They have no investment in the club they're playing for.

If he decides to run his contract down as it seems likely now then he will almost certainly get a better signing on fee. I fear we are going to be the losers. Sorry Rod except for his little purple patch he hasn't been of PL standard. In fact recently he has committed silly yellow card fouls which must have diminished his effectiveness.

Including diving in early on in the Wolves game and giving them their 1st goal

The defence for that, to me, baffling decision, is that Freeman isn't PL quality - which may be true, but here's the thing, neither are we as it stands. What he is is a player with qualities we completely lack.

We made just the two changes against Liverpool because we're limited with what we have on the bench, Lundstram came off for McGoldrick, rightly so because he was knackered soon into the second half. Freeman coming on, or even starting, would have been a better bet.

With resources as stretched to the limit as they are, to let Freeman go, a year after we paid 5 million for him, without a fee and without a replacement was awful planning.
I cant help thinking that Wilder got shafted here. I thought there would be some gentlemans agreement where we got Matty Cash but he went to Villa instead and Freeman was already at Florist. Can't help thinking we could have split the Brewster fee and got Meite and a decent midfielder on loan (balance could have paid for a loan player wages).

can only have pre contract talks wi foreign clubs in jan like rod says.
if hes wanting a move and knows the better he plays the better the move then its a win win for us he get his move for the most we can get in jan. plus we get the best out of him cause hes in the shop window. id keep him personally agree wi wilders opinion of him . him amps and berge is our most powerful athletic combative midfield 3. if he goes then snodgrass would be a good replacement for him ,scores goals likes a tackle and can actually set things up from centre mid

In the 85 appearances he's made for us he's had as little as 15 where he looked a good player and influenced the outcome of the game for its duration. After a miserable Championship season he admitted he was surprised when Wilder told him he was giving a chance to prove himself in the Prem as he thought he was out of the door.

When all was going well pre Christmas last season it looked like he had discovered form that we had not seen in the previous two years. Unfortunately it was short lived and when Berge was signed in the JTW his bottom lip dropped and his performances since have reflected that attitude.

Even when he was flying last season he was always blowing out of his arse after an hour and his continued lack of conditioning is such that now he can last for just 45 minutes. He does bring height and gets into the box but this is only in fits and starts. He is picking up bookings too early in games because he is not sharp and some of this must be due to his mind set as he seems to be a sulker as shown by his expressions when he is substituted.

The manager seems to have bent over backwards to try and keep him going against his principles and offering more than what was on the table but still its not good enough so its time to try and get something for him before his contract runs out.

We are thin in midfield at the moment so he'll have to be in the squad for now but its obvious his heart is no longer in it and that for me is not good enough when wearing a red and white striped shirt.

That doesn't sound something Wilder would do based on how he has previously dealt with players and he did say

But Lundstram has a part to play and offers something with his energy and ability to get in behind a defence that United don't have.
Wilder is one of only a few managers this club has had whose judgement can be truly trusted.
And as he rightly points out 'he will get my backing and that will be enough for everyone to follow from that.'

I believe in January they'd be able to speak to foreign clubs, whether Scotland is considered foreign or not i don't know. The agent will have summat lined up possibly/probably.UTMPB

I think under FIFA/UEFA rules Scotland would be classed as 'foreign.'

It does all feel a bit off. Forest don't even have an obligation to buy.

Time will tell on CW's transfer dealings and whether Brewster will prove to be an 'eyes are bigger than his belly' piece of business. That 23 million could have been spent on two or three who all improved the starting 11.

Even Max Lowe, who may turn out to be very good for us, is a specialist left back added to a squad including Enda, Osborn, Robinson, RND and even Bryan. We'd have been better off signing a Ben Gibson or Cooper from Millwall.

No need to apologise mi owd pal,it's only my opinion that Lundy's a decent/good player. Why do you think he's still getting picked if he's been as poor as some/most on here are postin, are you thinking he's Christopher's "Blue eyed" boy? UTMPB

"Despite insisting the package of terms they presented to Lundstram towards the end of last term was non-negotiable - they were thought to include an improved salary and various other performance-related incentives - United are believed to have recently adjusted some of the details in an attempt to break the impasse.
But with that gesture of goodwill failing to elicit the desired response, coaching staff are now planning to enter the second half of the campaign without the services of a player who has scored eight times in 94 appearances since leaving Oxford in July 2017."

Looks like we drew a line in the sand on contract negotiations rubbed it out and re drew it and Lundstram still kicked sand in Wilders face.

Yet Wilder has started him in every Premiership game so far wish you could explain that to me doesn't quite fit, maybe we don't know all the facts.

It'll be interesting to see if Lundy's in the side for the City game mi owd pal won't it,if he is surely that'll mean he's doing what's required or at least doing it better than the alternatives in the squad.UTMPB

The Star reports a revised offer made since the original story about Lundstram not signing a new contract.
That's an update on the original story , not a re-hash. It's part of the original 'contract not signed' story but has more, and more recent, detail.

"United are believed to have recently adjusted some of the details in an attempt to break the impasse. "

Recently implying since the original.

If he has been offered a revised offer and it still isn't good enough then he is welcome to go as far as I am concerned he hasn't got his heart in the club. As far as being picked by Wilder regularly is because there are no consistently better players. A pity that Lowe got injured so early on we could have seen whether he could have been an an alternative. In any case I would rather play Osbourne as he always seems to give his all. Midfield Berg Ampadu Osborne/Lowe.

The Star is 2 months behind on sport I've read it on here and S2, what to believe our manager who continues to play him or the media what a dilemma.
