Luke Waterfall

Doddimp

Vital Youth Team
As the most successful ever Captain of L.C.F.C. and the only guy to justify a song about a magic hat..he surely deserves a tribute area to himself. Always a threat in opposition penalty areas, his cracking header against Colchester, I'll be very sad to see him go, but as others have said elsewhere, he gave 110% and owes us nothing.
Good luck for the future Luke and let's hope that magic hat can be worn with pride by another deserving 110% defender!

Fair post but being a pedantic twot how can anyone give 110%, it is impossible. 100% is the total whole of everything and no more is possible. Should we now ridicule players who only give 100% and complain they should give more.

As said elsewhere, think he will be a big loss as a person, been a great captain.

If there is a silver lining to this... We might do away with 3 at the back, really not a fan at this level.

why wasn't he giving 120%?

on a more serious note, the time to judge how much he will be missed is once his replacement is in the building.

also not a fan of three at the back...especially with no sweeper.

Sweepers don’t work in the modern game. Too many teams play to use the offside rule, which you’re unable to do with a traditional sweeper.

120%...that'd be Harry Maguire in the World Cup..

That's where Bostwick will play.

didn't see their forwards getting caught offside on saturday. did see them running through the middle/channels to a simple long ball over the top.
haven't seen that happen so easily in two years watching cowley teams.

As a slight aside- thought Saturday was one of Waterfall's worst Imps performances. Didn't quite seem to be "on it". On the basis he has already had a medical, it may be the transfer was on his mind. Certainly wasn't a captains performance on Saturday.

He has been a great servant of the club and is being given an opportunity to move up to L1- it would be ironic if we are promoted this season but he has a choice and a career and he goes (for me) with good wishes.

Do you think Waterfall has gone over the edge?

I mean his career is clearly cascading down towards the end.

So in that sense should he take the plunge.

Will the shrews fans feel Waterfall is to wet for them?

Water ever happens we should shower Waterfall in praise for what he has done for The Imps.

Good luck Luke if you decide to go and thanks for all your efforts
