Looking at the decision makers tonight

Alert Team
We are on the brink of handing £50 to £70 million to our bitterest rivals and an enhanced transfer market presence from a position where we were threatening to dominate them and the domestic game. Rather in the way we allowed them to beat us twice in the past 2 seasons we have gone meekly into the night. It is downright unacceptable and I believe the club is riddled with apathy. We have a group of players who can't get off the pitch quick enough when defeated and do not have the bollocks to thank the fans. There is an onus on the manager right there to direct them to the people who pay big sums to support them.

Holding out for Pep has secured him but he will inherit a shambles and hanging on through a stunning Premier League regression has cost us big time. Somebody needed to step in at Southampton considering the points mess we had meandered into and have a quiet word before that dreadful team went out there.

Regarding the players many have stained careers that should have been all conquering with us.

I am seething at the state we are in considering the strides we have made and much of it despite the four goal drubbings and season long failure to beat top sides imho is on the CEO and the sanctioning of poor signings.

Looking back, I think we should have secured the CL before the Champions league, Had we won at Southampton, we could have gone on to Real Madrid in a better frame of mind.

All we can hope for is that the wait was worth it. If Guardiola doesn't deliver then we will look back at this last 18 months as the start of the rot. If on the other hand he meets expectations then this transition period will be seen as essential in laying the platform for him to thrive.

MP should have really gone a while back . Holding on for so long has proved detrimental. Let's hope Tixie's mate has been worth the wait.

It's a tough one to call CT, both them and the Hammers have been erratic all season.

The problem I have is that I can't see us beating Swansea away.

Am I the only one that cannot see the rags beating west ham at home.

They got a result in the cup against the hammers just recently.

Reaping the harvest of not changing the manager when we could have done. Poor decision making from those at the top.

When should they have done? I guess logic would say at the end of last season but you have to look at the end game in all of this.

Should we have sacked him last summer and replaced him with someone permanent thus sacrificing the chance to get Guardiola when his Bayern contract expired?

or

Hired someone on a temporary basis until Guardiola was ready to take the reins? Which lets be honest could have seen an even worse performance this season.

Fair enough Brutto, can see the logic in that.

But

The club took a decision to hire Soriano and subsequently Txiki with a view to obtaining Guardiola, this time twelve months ago the position we were in didn't really justify ripping up the plan and starting again in my opinion.

Hopefully the pressure of this being the last fixture played at the Boleyn Ground won't see the Hammers freeze and hand the fourth CL qualifying spot to the rags on a plate.

Could go either way, maybe a draw?

Swansea aren't that great a side - if we don't beat them then we probably deserve to finish 5th.

A positive thought for once.

A West Ham win or importantly , a draw , puts our fate back in our hands, and if Utd go chasing the win as the clock winds down, West Ham are very good at counter attacking.

If that result goes the right way , if MP plays KDB in the middle and Nacho out left we will beat Swansea

He's better than Sterling, and when he is forward gets too close to Sergio cramping his space for runs on to balls that KDB supplies.

Not sure the decisions makers have done too much wrong to be honest. We knew from day one that this was a long term deal/plan to become a major force in European football. It wasn't going to be all plain sailing.
For me, Pep was always Sheikhy's first choice as manager and suspect the hiring of Soriano and Begiristain was at least in part done to ensure that (I also think they're pretty good at their jobs as well). I also think that if it hadn't been for the Aguerooooo moment, Bobby would have been out on his arse that summer, and we might have seen Pep in place already. We know they approached Pep before they hired Manuel, so it looks like a 3 year stint to steady the ship whilst Pep saw out his contract at Munchen. Under Manuel's stewardship we've won 3 trophies. One as recently as February. We've also gone farther in the CL this season then ever before. Am I pissed off that we might miss out on CL footie next season? Yup. Am i worried it might affect our signings this summer? Only slightly. Do i think this is a major set back? Not at all. Has the sunshine gone to my head? i think it may have
