The Ultimate Loaned Players Thread

Corey Blackett-Taylor played the full 90 minutes but Walsall lost 3-1 at home to Oxford. Manager Dean Keates has been sacked after the game.

Mitch Clark played in Port Vales 1-0 home win vs Crewe.

Callum O'Hare scored what was apparently a beauty as Carlisle won 3-2 at home to Bury.

JDH played but Cambridge lost 1-0 away to Mansfield. RHM returned after missing a couple through injury.

So a bit of a mixed day for the Villa youngsters out on loan. Clark and O'Hare seem to have made themselves vital parts of their respective teams. Blackett-Taylor has forced himself into the starting 11 but from the sounds of it Walsall are doomed anyway. The 2 at Cambridge seem to be doing ok though have each had time out due to injury.

Mitch Clark is extremely talented, can't wait to see him play for us, O'Hare's loan stint seems to be going the same way as Grealish's loan to Notts County, exciting times for the lads.

if we don't get promoted (we will) then it isn't beyond the realms that Gary Gardner might be needed back here. We'll have to sell a few of the main squad to cover FFP surely.

Yup, the loan made sense to truly prove his fitness - he's done that now. So unless DS decides he wants to give him a shot, a sale is the only thing that makes sense and we certainly shouldn't be doing them a favour if we can eek out an extra 250K from someone else.

The pressure next year on FFP is off as we lose the first year of the determination, but the more we bring in, the more we can spend ourselves finishing the rebuild.

oh right, goes back to a new 3 year period does it?

Still not convinced we could really keep hold of Jack and possibly McGinn if we don't get up.

And doubt we'd be able to loan Mings again. Tammy... outside chance maybe... but probably not as he will get Prem offers

Yup, first year comes off and will be replaced (next March) by 2019/20's figures, so we do have far more wriggle room now.

Lots of questions on lack of promotion isn't there?

and attendances have been good, so that helps the £ as well.

FCG happens after play offs, so we'll be able to ask the CEO the situation, up or not, where we are at.

Gardner has no future at the Villa. If we can get £30k for him I would take it. Get him off the books, make a few quid before he is released next summer

Yes its ironic JF that Mings is putting in fantastic performances for us, but at the same time he is showcasing himself for next season, either back to Bournmouth or off to another Prem team.
