Liverpool FC try to trademark the use of ‘Liverpool’

This sycophantic piece from the so-called-Independent is pathetic. Short and without any of the critical comment normally present in today’s football media this puff piece is a symptom of a newspaper not wanting to get on the bad side of this club’s fans. We all know they can turn nasty.

I can only imagine the hysterical response if our owners were to suggest something similar.

as you say so Blatant, as there is a Club called City of Liverpool who play in non league, should these arrogant owners succeeded then this Club would have to change its name

CoL have been vocal about challenging this in fact so much so that LFC have already covered the costs which have been incurred by CoL so far. Clearly (UMO) in an effort to keep this news out of the headlines.

The arguments put forward by the spokesperson for FSG simply do not make sense. I cannot see how this can succeed.
