Once again we face a top 6 team after that team was humiliated.

Definitely 3 at the back.

Davies out wide. Free him from his seriously taken and natural tendency to defend Last season he had a couple of really good attacking games. He isn't the DR but he isn't shite either.

Dier, Toby and Wimmer for me. And no Son or Lamela.

The rest takes care of itself.

Imho playing a back 3 will hand the initiative to them as it did in the Citeh game. I'd start with the same as we did against Boro and try to stifle them through the centre by controlling the ball. Son and Alli's movement up front will be vital for us to get a result in this one.

They have been humiliated since the turn of the year, a loss here is a terrible result.

We cant be the ones they get a boost from.

If we lose, it won't necessarily be a terrible result. Consider our record at Anfield for just a moment. Also, this is the same team that had folks on here drooling while you wanted rid of Poch during our own bad patch. If we are the authors of our own downfall, then yeah, it'll be a bad result. If Liverpool hit form and turn it on at home, then it'll just be another loss at a ground where we have gotten very little throughout our entire history.

I'm sorry, I couldn't stomach another loss at that shithole. Especially during their crap form of late, we always seem to be the team that gives 'out off form' teams the impetus to regain their winning streak.

I'm sick of being a soft touch. And for that I blame Poch. We have to treat this game as a cup final. The Kop will be in full voice, and I fear we won't be as mentally up for it as we should.

To hell with the past. Let's set a new trend off smashing the scouse at their own ground. The benefits of 3 points will be phsycological boost to Spurs and will ask plenty of questions of Pool, and could set the stage for our 2nd place finish.

Well one thing is for sure they won't sit deep and defend like WBA, Sunderland and Middlesboro, so we will get the space we seem to thrive with instead of No.57 Routemasters

Good point Greavsie. For me it's one that's impossible to call. Liverpool have very good players and are due a rebound from poor form. Klopp is no mug and will have them well set up.

We have the ability to beat anyone if we click and Alli, Kane and Eriksen along with Son with Wanyama and Dembele behind them is awesome if they turn it on.

I have looked at the remaining fixtures for us and Chavs and it don't look good. So we have to win every game now and hope chav implode.

I hope we have the belief that we can win by going for it from the off. An early goal for us could make them implode!

We need to make sure that we are unselfish in attack, see and make the final ball, stop making stupid passes back to Hugo and keep our intensity.

Whilst a win would be great, hopefully we don't lose and give them fresh impetus.

We must believe...a Spurs win will see them off the pace probably out of the race IMO.
The biggest game we have to play this season so far.
Last season we blew it at Chelski in the second half.
I sincerely hope our players have learned from that experience
100% focus and three points are imperative.

The team needs to be fired up for this or we'll lose. Their form has been bad of late but Klopp is a great coach and they have proper talent in their ranks. This is the sort of game we'll heavily miss Rose. Klopp knows that throwing pace at our CB's usually causes us the biggest problems so expect Mane to be their most unleashed player.

If our attacking players don't get their acts together this will be a tough watch. Dele and Kane have been dreadful in the last two games, Eriksen has tried but looks a bit out of sorts and even though Sonny has been doing well, he's being too selfish and snatching at too many chances.

Lloris
Walker - Dier - Toby - Davies
Wanyama - Dembele
Eriksen - Dele - Sonny
Kane

That will be our team. I'm 100% sure of it. I'll be proper ticked off if we allow Coutinho time to play. Davies Vs Mane makes me nervous.

Son makes me nervous. We never play well when he starts. He naffs up our cohesiveness.

1) Kane and Ali look like they mostly do in the 4-2-3-1 this season... pretty average. without Rose back I expect no reversion to the successful 3-4-3, so will struggle now to score from open-play again.

2) Pud too have gone backwards in their fluidity and chance-creation... won't be improved overnight.

3) Son has looked the most potent attacking force of late, with his uncanny ability to peel off his covering FB at will seemingly... pure intelligence and positional-awareness.... he will deffo play next game.

dead-rubber of a game.... Dance Dance Dance on ITV at 5.30pm may be the better option for fans of Football.

You watch itv then. How is it a dead rubber if we get 3 points and secure 2nd place. ?

To stand a chance of winning the league we have to win. To finish top 4 a draw wouldn't be the end of the world. Lose it shows we are still not ready.

We have struggled against Klopp since he arrived in England. I can't see us winning to be honest.

Bin dippers are wounded, there's talk that there is dissension in the dressing room; but that won't stop them wanting to lift their game against us.

Tough, always tough there, see this as a draw, as we too now have our problems., but the way the bin dippers play it's more likely to be an open exciting game 2-2 or 3-3

I think we need to go back to a flat back 4 for this game, or else we risk being dominated in midfield.

If Son is fit, he has to play. If he doesn't the game will be to compact. We need pace out wide to stretch Pools back 4 and hit them on the counter.

I have a gut feeling we will sneak this game 1-2.

. What have you heard EX, are the players unhappy with klopps methods?

I bet they will be praying they dont have to play lucas at CB again. We are struggling to score and they're just awful atm so who knows what happens in this game.
