Live forever?

The Fear

A Wise Man (once sat next to him)
The chance to live forever. .. would you want to?

Not for me, not in poor health. If I could be 25 again with no ops and brain aches maybe I'd say I wouldn't mind a longer preserved life looking and feeling young and we'll.

But for me, no.

So next bit, what sort of age would be your ideal signing off time bearing in mind normal aging etc?

Was a guy in redditch the other week well into his 90 ' s and to me it looked awful to have lived that long and degenerated so much. I couldn't see the quality and from what he was dating I don't think he could either.

70 would be enough for me in this body, I'd not be bothered if it was sooner unless things come along to control some of my stuff, or control the normal aging processes (ie I've got enough already!)

Same here, i want to see my kids grow up but with my eyes and the headaches every day from wearing a lense and strain off my blind eye that has rejection in it unless this was improved which is looking unlikely i don't think i could put up with living on painkillers for another 90 years ffs, ''OM OOOOOUT''

Fear dude they will get you sorted in the near future and you will be pizzin on parades for another 70 years from now and lavin it,,,mark my words!!

won't be in my lifetime for stem cell etc for my sort of damage.

Should be for arthritis etc so which will help thousands upon thousands of older people enjoy their old age far more.

For me quality over quantity any day!

It's not impossible stem cell treatments could be ready to ease the rib pain from all my busted ribs I guess. That would be most acceptable!

I just want to be dead before I start shitting myself and forgetting who I am or what's going on. I'm only 31 but I already feel jaded.

The thought of living forever freaks me out, like an endless day without sleep.

No thank you very much. I do not want to live forever. Even in decent health I wouldn't want too. I mean everyone else you know would be gone etc. What's the point.

I still have hunger for life in the sense of a purpose to be here and whilst I do that's O.K. Once that goes I would hope it would be over asap. I seen Mom's hunger for life go and she wanted out, so have experienced it though from watching it.

I do not want to be here and in the state my Mom was totally reliant on someone else for everything

It's called mortality for a reason. We'll all fall off the perch at some time. Once you're my age, anything from here on in is a bonus - not that I'm in any hurry to leave you all just yet as I'm enjoying life greatly now. If you have half-decent health, getting older has a lot to commend it; the mortgage paid, the kids raised, the grandchildren to enjoy etc etc.
I'd love to see at least one greatgrandchild - quite possible- and see the Villa win a trophy - well, as a man of faith, I do believe in miracles.

I think God maybe having a little giggle right now :14:

I would love to see my Grandsons grow up to be fine young men with a wife/partner and maybe great grandchildren, thats unlikely as Im fooking old and they are young, my son never had kids till his 30's. My Dad had a great life, the last few years were trying for Mom and as if Mother Nature knew he died 83 with his family around him I held his hand and he slipped peacefully away.

It was just the right time for Dad to shed his mortal coil. I would like to live for as long as I am not a burden and have decent life style.

I want to draw my pension long enough to get back all I paid in over the years.

I've already said that so Col8 once again proves he has me on ignore.

#hurtful
