away at Braintree back in the conference again, it really hit home, what a terrible ground. Fans, players and directors arguing and squareing up to each other on the touchline, my rose tinted specs became a lot clearer that night

Not strictly non league but the game against Aldershot that sent us down , to what looked at the time to be a non league abyss.. To actually watch a Lincoln team of so called professionals obviously stop trying and surrender in a home game in front of a good gate at the Bank. Nearly broke my heart.
Followed by the club slowly passing away in abject surrender for the next few seasons.
How amazing the times are now compared to all that.
