Lincoln Game OFF

The magna carta. Lovely sitting outside there on a summers evening. A few pints a just reward after getting up steep hill.

I enjoy my trips to Lincoln. Smashing pub just around the corner called the strugglers I believe, brilliant range of ales.

I stay down on the Brayford pool, more commercialised but the Duke William IV is a decent pub.

Looking forward to my next trip, although no time soon given covid.

I couldn’t go last time for some reason but we took 600-700 up there, didn’t we? We were in great form marching up the table.
Last went in 1982 and we lost 2-0 and were terrible.
The highlight of the day was noticing that evening the headline act at the Imps Social Club was ‘ Arthur Guitar’ and there was some talk of staying on to take the mickey....
58 just fyg we travelled up from the Lanch..actually it was probably Cov Uni then

When at Lanch I narrowly avoided seeing us lose 4 0 in 76/7. Delighted to say I saw the next two. 2 0 win in 7/8 and a superb 4 2 win in 8/9.

HI chaps, hope you're all well and keeping safe.

Sincil Drain burst its banks and with the stand/pitch sitting below the top level of the drain, it usually causes an issue on that side. It's very rare it happens, though.

Rain has been pretty consistent here for a while and with getting some snow the back end of last week and then that melting, that won't have helped. I think what probably tipped it over the edge was the heavy rain last night and then the heavy rain that was forecast, and happened, after the game was called off so an early call was the correct one (Northampton were in Blackpool when theirs was called off).

We have a mass testing centre at the Stadium as well as the minute but that had to close for a bit.

Ironically enough, back in October, the Environment Agency had 10 weeks of improving flood defences on Sincil Drain!

All good LI 👍

We should have our famed 20-goal striker in by the time we play you. Or maybe not....

You can't keep running! One day you will have to play this game, you will be beat, and promotion will be ours 😊

I’ve only been once, a bollock-freezing Tuesday night in the 2008/09 promotion season. Lost 2-0. Was hoping to go the other season to enjoy more of Lincoln’s pubs, rather than the closest ones to the ground.
