How have Bournemouth managed??

League 2 to the Premier League and still in their little 11k seater stadium

Not that we should “hold fire” just because Bournemouth have managed not expanding.

But clearly it shows expanding “right now” isn’t a vital necessity, we can cope for now

But of course planning for the future never harms

Bournemouth are massively bank-rolled. Plus, when you get to the Premiership, attendances are completely irrelevant as a revenue stream.

No, PP does not determine the technology just the wider implications of the development. Unless you are Spurs with their three sliding pitches et al, a football stadia in construction terms are relatively simple.

Un like Spurs we can’t have a factory on the development site mysteriously burn down at 3 O’clock in the morning either. Allegedly.

I think it was something Roger Bates mentioned recently on Friday football possibly? That if we achieve promotion plans were to increase the capacity by 1500, possibly by creating terracing in the SW.

They cant be completely irrelevant.. or clubs wouldnt charge a fortune. I think it is estimated Arsenal make 4+ million per match from gate receipts and additional match day revenue. Which will be approaching 100 million a year.

Lets build a 40,000 all seater with roof and have concerts every other week end during the season and every night in the summer.

Edit addition: not to mention Boxing

It's hard to judge Bournemouth at the moment, the test will come at the point they end up in the championship and no investment. Current investment makes the small ground ok for the current day but ideally now is the ideal time for them to be building their fan base as much as possible and not have rely on investment in the future, despite the difference in levels it's this factor which is identical for us.

Which is about 30% of their total revenue apparently. They are of course the highest matchday revenue generator in the Premiership, so they actually generate more than anyone else and it's still only 30%

Yes.. but it's not insignificant. It probably covers a lot of the players wages.

Whilst not a billionaire, one of the names I’ve heard heard we are courting for investment has the potential to make things very exciting indeed. Not that what’s happening currently isn’t exciting obviously....
