A bit out of the blue this one, didn't expect to see Liam Cullen leave but it's a really good move all round. I'd imagine the pull of working with Russell Martin again at a big League One club was attractive for Liam - I'd guess the only move he'd consider to leave his boyhood club.

We could never find the right role for him here since Martin left. He's not what we need up top and we don't play with wide 10s anymore. He's definitely not a no.8.

A useful player to come off the bench to try and get us a goal but for me he offered little else in general game play and he did well to start as many games as he did at Championship level. That was his role here for us IMO.

Players who can now come in and replace him, the likes of Widdel however really need to kick on and provide more direct goal output.
 
I think you've nailed it with really good all round. A fresh start will be great for him and I hope he smashes it. Unfortunately he had run out of road with us
 
I think it was the right time I think if we want to move forward as a club we need to carry on making these right decisions and get upgrades in these positions!
 
the right time for all parties. We're trying to build a squad to challenge and Cullen can't offer enough to be in and around the matchday squad anymore.

I'd also argue that only under Russ will he perform consistently well - he seemed to get the best out of him. Leicester a big club too it's a great move for him
