Lets all get real..

I am getting fairly pissed off with some threads recently, ok my personal view but with regards to;

1. Season ticket prices: Simple, this is the price of success, it has been a number of years since we have been playing in the league and things move on including money.

2. Reconfiguration on seats: Hang on there was a few of us who got stung when we had to move from the SW to other parts of the ground and had to pay higher prices. Was there a lot made about it then, no there was not, it was pay up as we make up costs.

3. With regards to Exeter tickets (note not tix), get real.

Couldn't agree more, :-
Season tickets still represent good value and if the club can sell 5-5.5k, maximising revenue helps invest in future development; it's a commercial concern, not a charity.

Reconfiguring seating to winkle the maximum capacity out of the ground, including moving JIC (in response to requests for same from some JIC members?) and the legends lounge all makes good commercial sense and the club does see to be trying to manage it pretty well, not perfect but this is new territory. Liam Scully is a real asset for this club and is trying very hard, and with a lot of imagination, to handle these issues fairly while looking to make more of commercial opportunities.

Exeter tickets - home leg sees to be sensibly arranged given the timescales, though 1 or 3 who thought their ST entitled them to a seat 'gratis' are being incredibly naive, thats never been the case! Away leg is a problem because of limited numbers and people are going to miss out, some will be aggrieved because of sense of 'entitlement' but tough, I'm afraid, there will be no 'right' way of dealing with it.

Extraordinary times to be an Imp, go with it, enjoy the ride and lets not indulge in petty whingeing when arrangements are less than perfect, rather that than how we were 2 years ago.

You have made a more eloquent post to get the same message across, thanks.

Wind your neck in grumpy, if folk want to moan about season tickets they will and they are free to have their say, same goes for the reconfiguration of the seating and Exeter tickets. If you don't like it then don't read the offending threads. Better still have your say in the relevant thread and don't start a new one like a bloody Prima Donna.

Its an internet forum, and would be a very dull one if everybody agreed on everything. I reckon we need 78 or 79 people to agree in order tomake it right.
On the "legends lounge" thing, what will they do if there is only a small uptake of tickets?

Quality!

What about moaning about people moaning?

In fairness, maybe they werent supporting us last time we got in the playoffs...
it was my sister. I don't think it occurred to her. She's gone down to Anderby Creek this week stopping in a caravan. She's got no WiFi as well. She rang me today and I managed to find her Eventbrite details. She messaged me this afternoon to say she'd sorted it.

I thought this was going to be about our likely failure in the play-offs.

Cos we DO only have a 1 in 4 chance of promotion and as the worst team in the play-offs, our chances are maybe more like 1 in 6.

And if we do happen to get to Wembley (albeit probably as losers), will the previous Wembley boycotters actually bother to go this time? And if they do, do i want to be part of a Wembley crowd that includes Wembley boycotters? Im not sure i do, and in fact in such circumstances i may very well boycott any Wembley game which has other previous Wembley boycotters at it.

Surely all views should be permitted to be heard, even though I think that the club are trying their best to maximise revenue, seating availability whilst being fair to the fans. A knife edge to walk really...

on the theme of word play, we had a bit of a doozie at the festival i was at. Someone asked online who the first act to play would be. Back came the response: B B Blackdog and Not On. The first response to that was that it was Not On. But the next response was that it was B B Blackdog and Not On were not on until later. Next, it was declared that this was not on that Not On were not on, even though they were Not On and that B B Blackdog should be not on allowing Not On to be on, leaving us Not On on or not not on... It did seem a tad easier to just chill in the sun with good music, fine folk, great weather and cheap beer...'ll

Anything else would have been not on...

It’s a lottery

In previous years we have been one of the beat teams in the pack yet got knocked out at the semis.

Got there on the last day and got to the final

The Southend sticks in my throat as we were the better side. As does Huddersfield as they were cheating so and so’s.

We have a chance against Exeter as I don’t think they like our style. Get to the final and it’s a coin toss. Who knows Notts v Cov they may burn each other out.

Here we go yet again, have a dig at anyone who doesn't toe the BOARD line.

1. Accrington's season ticket is £219, 2/3 of our price, it was advertised the week before they won the league, they knew they were promoted, we don't even know now. Our fanbase is nothing short of fantastic, the place is crammed, we have around 3 times as many as most clubs, also 3 times as many as we had a couple of seasons back. We also turn up for the Checkatrade early rounds unlike most clubs. The cost of a season ticket did not drop when we were relegated, the cost of living has risen, wages have not.

2. Seats, I reckon the Family section used ot be in the Bridge McFarland, when it was moved to the Co-op it became a lot more popular, now they have the fans they want it back to make more money from the full paying punter. I'll take a back seat on this one because it doesn't effect me.

3. Never heard of Play-off tickets being free, they wouldn't let season ticket holders in free to a friendly for Christ's sake.

I said on the previous thread I wasn't going to keep commenting, but you have to resurrect it to look good, its not going away, we don't all believe the BS and hype, some of us are getting real without blinkers.

I'll await the usual abuse for daring to moan and treat it with the necessary contempt.

I was not toeing any line, read my post I said it was my personal view. Also I did not mention anything about playoff tickets being free.
