LEICESTER!

They're playing some great football and have done us a favour today by beating Man City but what's the chances of us overtaking them at this rate? 6 points ahead of us if we beat Watford and going clear of the pack. As I see it, the only chance we have is to keep scoring and keeping clean sheets as I've said many times. We have to hope then that some other teams get fortunate and beat them or draw with them.

But let's give Leicester their due, they've done brilliantly. Well done to them!

I'd be surprised if they don't win it now...

BUT.
All the papers will jump on them now. So lets see how they handle being expected to win it. Squeaky bum time has destroyed more experienced teams than Leicester.

I would LOVE it if we beat them. LOVE it!

Seriously! A favour would have been a city win or a draw . While liecester have been playing well that's fine but to actually want them to win games and keep on stretch there lead on us in the league is ludicrous . It suited us better for city to win today no matter how we fair against Watford we r currently in a title race not in a race to finish above city but to finish first.

Cannot see anyone over taking them. They are beating every team at the moment. The defensive problems they had in the first part of the season are gone. They have only the league to play so no burn out for key players. The title is theirs to lose...

Exactly but smalltime mentality will be smalltime mentality, some people are just happy with 4th even from this position we are in,if we don't win it I'll be happy if Leicester do,but I wanted them to lose today or as you say at least draw because they are our rivals and could stop us winning the title for the first time in over 50yrs..

OK. It may have been more of a tactical thing for us for Man City to have won over Leicester and I'm not being naive when I say I wanted them to win. They've been playing out of their skin in fairness and I'm not being disloyal to Spurs by saying that, they've given a good team a thrashing today. They have to of course keep it up and just confidence won't do it, they have the ability it seems to go all the way but someone will give them a bit more of a game which might result in a draw here or there.

I think at the moment we have what it takes to show consistency too. Time will tell especially when we face Man City.

As the season goes on the pressure on Leicester will just go up and up. They'll be ok against the big teams as they are still bizarrely not expected to win them but against the smaller sides the expectancy will be so great that they are bound to drop points. Thats what us, city and ars*nal have to hope for..

I don't think they have any chance to win the league or qualify for the CL given that Ranieri needs at least two seasons to gel the squad and buy the players who fit in his system.

We are the favourites to win the league.

One of those matches I dread .... Poor record recently surely we are due a win there soon enough - no reason why not next week that this will change ...

I get back from a sublime performance and find this place a mess. Its like leaving the kids in the house to party! Welsh Tel can you please keep your love for Leicester out of our forum. Can the mods fix this and the other one about the City game. WTF Tel poor stuff and the mods. I'm sure the Leicester fans are not opening threads in homage to Spurs.

Yep , thought exactly the same, they could well fold under the expected pressure the closer it gets to winning it, but we'll see.

What I did enjoy though, was their total dismantling of a so called big club, in a big match at this stage of the season. Citeh were so pathetic that I thought they were hoping for a towel to come flying in with half an hour left , at home as well lol.
How embarrassing was that ?

I didn't get the Spurs fans cheering the Leicester goals in the pub yesterday?

A draw would have been the best result followed by a city win.

Still don't see them as a top team. Well organized that hit teams on the break every game. Park the bus like they do and they won't achieve anything. Why teams have not played them at their own game I don't know.

I could not agree with you more. I read the interesting 442 article but I think it is hugely flattering to City Arda Turan, Koke, David villa Costa dump from a great height on their city counterparts. The failure of the bigger sides especially us and city to put away Leicester in the way ars*nal did should be a source of embarrassment. We were better that City but the lack of a clinical finisher and a clearly weary Harry Kane did for us.

It has not surprised me one bit that a team like Leicester, a team that can defend effectively just as well as they can hit you on the break, are taking a league like this by storm, a league that has become saturated with possession-beats-all / territorial pressing teams.

Obviously I want us to win the league over them, but if we aren't going to win it, then I hope the Foxes do because it will be the best thing that has happened to the PL in the last 5-10 years (when in my opinion the PL quality started to decline)

HAHAHA, calm down calm down, its just a thread. So what would you call them? Theyre successful. I ain't leaving being a Spurs supporter after 59 years ish. The Leicester fans MIGHT JUST open a thread on Vital Foxes when we win the league and say how well we did in spite of them playing their hearts out. Come on give them their due Spurdon, I mean, be fair, half of your callsign is 'DON'. You not from MK are you or Wimbledon?
