Felt like it deserved its own thread. Leicester win their appeal against the PL regarding their charge - surely opens up the floodgates for overspend on the basis of prem survival going forward providing the EFL don’t screw you.

Puts Leicester in a good position to see if they can kick on under Cooper

Wow this is really unfair on Everton and us. Is this then going to open up floodgates on litigation ?

However… they will i think still get points deduction based on the 3 rolling years post promotion when they must be over the limit…

OR does this ruling mean the 2 years in the EPL don’t count now and they can only use one year in Prem, one year in EFL and this current year ?

This is a joke as it’s SO inconsistent…

Now i do hope they go down - three times they have CHEATED.
 
They got away with it because they were no longer in the league after a number of years in the prem whilst we got deducted for a 1 year period of actually being in the prem!

Probably shouldnt blame the EPL, in this instance, as they're surprised at the outcome.

Wonder which ******* s comprised the adjudicating panel, this time?
 
As I understand it the appeal was successful because Leicester’s accounting period finished after they were relegated and ceased to be a member of the Premier League. This meant it was impossible to say when their supposed overspend occurred. For example it may have occurred between that period between relegation and end of accounting period. I don’t see how this would apply to Everton but I am not sure with respect to Forest. It seems to be a very specific situation and came about as a result of Leicester innocently changing there accounting period.
 
There is nothing innocent about it.

I hope the EPL appeal this and say that even if they pro-rata the financials up to relegation there would still be 10 months of breach.

Better still just expel them from the league now.

Why do Leicester always have to cheat and get away with it ??
