I'm not sure where this should go so move it if needs be.

I heard from several sources that there will be a service (unavailable to the UK and Ireland) that will be streaming Championship games next season. Overseas fans will be able to subscribe to it online for a fee. I also remember the good doctor tweeting something about looking into providing streams for games that Sty Sports didn't have the rights to. I'd be more than happy to pay for online streaming if it was available. However since Ireland isn't considered overseas I won't be able. (Something got to do with TV rights apparently). I should still be able to get access to said streams one way or another though once they're out there.
Has anyone heard anything along these lines or am I going mad from lack of football? Killed me to have to miss so many games last year.

Yep, heard it about it a while ago. I live in Ireland too so it's a bit of a pain if it's not available here, yet life (streaming) always finds a way as yer man in Jurassic Park said.

It was shit not being able to see every game, thankfully there was quite a number of games on Sky Sports, but missing games like the derby was depressing. I do hope Dr. Tony goes ahead with the streaming idea, even if it's just one camera and no commentator it will do me!

Also, slightly off topic, but I saw that Sky Sports are revamping their package to make it cheaper, and having separate channels for each sport. Basically things like Kodi and streaming have bitten them in the arse and rightfully so, the greedy bastards. Why not make it affordable to everyone, and they would probably bring in even more money?
 
Lots of people stream lots of stuff on Facebook "live" these days, I have whilst on nights watched a couple of fights and I did watch the last Villa v Nose game on FB live.

You have to put up what is a second rate stream but still better than f all
 
Couldn't agree more re Sky Sports SJH. I think I'll actually subscribe to the football channels seeing as they will be a good bit cheaper and I won't be paying for things I won't watch.
I'm really hoping this streaming thing goes ahead. It's a waste not showing games no one else wants to buy the rights to. Here's hoping we get to see more games next season anyway. :35:

Watched a few of those myself Col8. Better than nothing. You have to feel for the lads giving themselves a cramp in their arm holding up their phones like that. :3:

Watched a few of those myself Col8. Better than nothing. You have to feel for the lads giving themselves a cramp in their arm holding up their phones like that. :3:

I've watched quite a few phone feeds this season, but now I'm moving back to Romania on Tuesday, I hope this new thing is real!!
