In a recent Mansfield thread he continues to get pelters from Stags fans many of who want to see him gone. Did he burn his bridges with the Cowleys? Would they be prepared to take him back and put a paternal arm around his shoulder and rebuild his confidence at a snip of what the odious one signed him for? Would he have enough potential ability to be worthy of a squad place for us in L1 or L2?

Mandron yesterday reminded me of Angol but with more of an edge, think we'll be fishing in a better pool in the summer.

Did well for us last year and had some potential. He must have been badly advised because he was far from the finished article and needed some good coaches around him - so he chose Evans and Raynor over the Cowleys. Bad career move.

At the time Angol signed for Mansfield, Danny said he couldn't have got half way towards matching what Mansfield had offered. Very revealing in a number of ways, not least of which suggests Angol went there for the money and is not of the right character. That ship has sailed long ago.

I didn't rate him anyway, by the way. I was pleased we didn't get him.

A note on Barnsley. According to many lads I work with there is no sign of money from the Billy Bean takeover yet. Maybe they are saving it to buy relegated league 2 players to match their relegation team.
