League Two January Rumours/Transfers

Not a transfer per se, but it may lead to one: Mansfield confirm that defender Hayden White has a badly fractured tibia and has had surgery.

They have one Spaniard, three French, two from Curacao, one Belgian, one Danish, one from Congo, one Gabonese, one from Martinique and two Irish. Very continental.

Not doing them any good though is it! Still a mid table League 2 side! Lot's of foreigners just not that good a ones

Grimsby midfielder Ben Pringle is recalled from his season-long loan by parent club Preston and joins Tranmere for the rest of the season.

Carlisle are giving a trial to 31-year-old former Burnley defender David Edgar, who has 42 caps for Canada. Edgar has been playing in Canada for the last three years since leaving Birmingham.

Having already lost loanees Ashley Nadesan and Jerry Yates back to their respective parent clubs, Carlisle look set to lose influential midfielder Jack Sowerby back to Fleetwood. Sowerby, who has scored 5 goals in 27 appearances, is unlikely to have his loan extended.

Good old Joey Barton - removing Nadesan and Sowerby from Carlisle and letting us have Bolger for free. As he did in 2016-17, Barton is doing a great job for us.

Very quiet in League Two, can't remember so little activity in a January transfer window. Eight days and a few hours remaining.

Port Vale sign 20-year-old striker Mark Harris on loan from Cardiff to the end of the season.

Neil Aspin says he comes highly recommended; glad to see you have done your recruitment research thoroughly, Neil.

Harris was at Newport for the first half of the season.

Swindon sign 18-year-old defender Taylor Curran from Southend for an undisclosed fee.

Curran said he was 'over the moon'. Yes, he really did.

Still eerily quiet in League Two with just six days and a few hours remaining. Can't wait for next week, it should be great fun.

David Wheeler has joined MKD from QPR, Tidsdale worked with him at Exeter. Been at Pompey first half of the season.
