So what was he doing slumming it in the football hotbed of Bala? Recovering from injury? Similar career path to Remi, plus 15 years...

Who knows! Maybe gone back to Accy in some form of player/coach role? I know they’ve got a lot of young loanees.

Charlton have made some big signings. Canadian international on loan from Liverpool and last seasons Danish top league top scorer. Going for a promotion push there.

Ronnie Schwartz at Charlton is an interesting one - Danish, like new owner Thomas Sandgaard. Has bounced around Europe a bit, playing in Denmark, Norway, Belgium, France and now England; hasn't stayed anywhere for too long. Helped Midtjylland to the Danish title last season with 6 goals in 15 games, but hasn't appeared this season.

The recall of Hakeeb Adelakun is considered 'a blow' according to Hull Live, and comes as a surprise considering he was apparently in line to sign permanently. However, the fans don't seem too fussed at losing him. It could be good news for the Imps, though - Hull only lost twice with him in the starting line-up from 17 appearances.

Similarly, Cameron Pring at Portsmouth. They lost only two of his fifteen games, and one of those was away to Brighton in the League Cup.

Gary Roberts has never been particularly quick, that's why he's still going. Will be a good player for Accrington.

He was exceptional for Huddersfield with their Roberts, Novak, Rhodes trio under Lee Clark.

Charlton Athletic: In: 2 Out: 0
In:
Winger: Liam Millar, 21 (on loan from Liverpool to the end of the season)

The deal to buy Wigan has fallen through, according to an announcement from the administrators this morning. The paperwork was due to be completed last week, but having agreed a price, the Spanish bidders reduced their bid by almost 50%.

Quite where this leaves Wigan is anyone's guess. The EFL will surely lose patience with them at some point, and it certainly does not help their January transfer business. Should they be unable to complete the season, we would lose three points.

Crewe manager David Artell is not expecting to make changes to his squad because he believes he cannot improve on the players he already has with the budget they have available. He will only sell one of his prized assets for the right offer.

MK Dons manager Russell Martin has identified two main transfer targets, but is aware of the challenges presented by the January window: Martin says he is getting ready for a lot of change, and equally getting ready for not very much.

Northampton manager Keith Curle explains the problem the majority of League One clubs have: the 22-man squad limit. He confirms he cannot sign a player without one leaving, and says he cannot offer winger Ricky Holmes a contract extension until he knows which other targets are available. However, former Imp Alan Sheehan has signed an extension to the end of the season

He could always try and get some younger players !!!!!

That seems to be working out pretty well somewhere else

Oxford chairman Tiger Thanakarnjanasuth reveals that they have been working towards this transfer window for a year. He says they know the players they want, and raises the question of which players should they be signing - talented or robust, given the intense schedule facing clubs over the remainder of the season?
