I see john sheridan has been appointed at Carlisle United!A safe pair of hands for a club in reported trouble?

He does have a recent habit of walking out of clubs though so it's one which will either be brilliant or a complete disaster for them. Did they ever fully disclose the reason why he was dismissed by County. Gross misconduct mentioned but I can't remember the detail

haha. punch up at oldham, gardening leave at chesterfield. he sounds very old school.
maybe notts deemed 9 straight defeats as gross misconduct. or it was something to do with this wycombe match rant, which happened just before... he has a way with words. [although for notts to judge anything as gross misconduct, with their recent past, is going some.]

The only club in League Two without a manager is Macclesfield. Apparently they have had lots of quality applicants, but whoever takes it has a huge job on their hands.

Sheridan's a bit like Allen i.e. short term does a job but in invariably ends up in tears.
