Tommie Hoban, 27 RETIRED
Having signed for Crewe from Aberdeen a few weeks ago, injury-prone Hoban has decided to retire from playing.
Their wage bill must be astronomical. Huge fail if they don’t go up.Ipswich, having not brought in a player for a couple of hours, have signed midfielder Tom Carroll from QPR on a free
It just all seems so scattergun. They've signed some outstanding talent for this level but at the minute there doesn't seem to be much of a coherent plan as to how to fit it all together.Their wage bill must be astronomical. Huge fail if they don’t go up.
Their wage bill for 2019-20 was £12.85m against a turnover of £10.20m (for 185 employees, 116 of whom were on the playing/management side). In other words, their wage bill was already big, not helped by the legacy of Championship wages (£19.25m in 2018-19). It will be interesting to see their 2020-21 accounts to see where they were last season, but it is quite possible that the release of those legacy players in the summer has actually produced a lower wage bill despite the number of incomings. That seems to be what Mr Cook is saying.Their wage bill must be astronomical. Huge fail if they don’t go up.

But he wasnt homesick in Sunderland ( I think ) weeks after leaving us >Yes, but to be fair he was very young at the time - 18/19?
They must have a good scouting network to find him in Bromley , from Morecambe . They are usually good signings as well.Morecambe
